Sadly it never seems to be a 'good situation' in Mourinho's view to play youngsters. We either have the pressure of being contenders or the pressure of relegation. There's no middle ground for him imo. Just one of those managers that doesn't integrate youth players when he can buy someone of the same age that's been played regularly and developed by another club. Takes out a large part of the work for him, he has to work on whats already been formed, rather than work from the beginning with a player.
He stays in the dark enough to manage that
Doesn't help that most of our players know that even if they aren't in the starting 11 they will be on the bench and that there is very little competition for their place.
Jk, you'll never be that bad
Tonight broke me. I can't defend mou beyond faith right now. And my faith is wavering a little. Not in his strengths but whether he is right for the long term.
But he won a damn double. Well they all did. This plane crash is bigger than any one man.
And the worst bit is how we don't know what the feck happened.
Jose has integrated Courtois and Zouma into our first XI, both 20/21 years old at the time, and to replace two of his most trusted players through his career (Cech and Terry). RLC has been given chances by Jose, if he performed at a level Jose saw fit for the PL then no doubt he would be getting as many minutes as Zouma. We've also seen Kenedy start games and play many minutes this season.
The idea Jose hasn't given chances to young players in this second term is non-sensical.

I said a couple months back JT has p!ssed me off this season, he's our captain and leader yet he doesn't seem to be saying or doing anything about this, and think it showed Drogba was always the real vocal one of the dressing room that held everything together, JT should be getting these guys in a fkin huddle and telling them how it is and giving them a dressing down, i know for sure Drogba would be doing it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nonsense. Drogba spent the last 4 years of his Chelsea career choosing when he wanted to try (save for the 09/10 season).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's matured though big time since he left. He's a leader on and off the pitch. You see that every time a player talks about him. Look at his stints at Shanghai, Galatasaray, Montreal and his 2nd spell at Chelsea. He's a totally different person now compared to how we was 5 years back.
Some people won't be happy until the average age of our first XI is 19.
Obers - Court developed at Atletico, Zouma was playing regular football with St Etienne, he hasn't really 'developed' them has he? Courtouis would have fitted into most teams after his time at Atletico.
RLC has not been given chances, and he played good against villa andbefore in the cup and got dropped at half time...also zouma isnt that good either but i'll give you that, he has integrated him, cortious, a la liga winner and CL finalist, dont think it was ever a choice to not pla him.
Kenedy has started what 2 games despite being our best player in the times hes come on.
Very basic post there obers.

or till our first XI is good...
RLC has done nothing but impress in a rubbish struggling team every time hes played...and he hasnt been seen since being taken off at half time. So what, fabregas and ramires can play?
Jose should be ashamed
That's my point though. Mourinho hasn't 'developed' any players from the ground up from our own academy, which is the gripe people have over any of our youngsters playing. RLC as an example of somebody who has come from our youngest levels up to where he is, but isn't currently getting a look in. Where as you mentioned Thibaut and Zouma, both were playing regular football at a fairly high level already before playing for Chelsea.

This doesn't make sense to me. Jose's job isn't to 'develop' players as such it is to integrate them into the first team. Jose doesn't take charge of U21 matches or determine the club policy to send all our promising youngsters out on loan. You can't take all credit away from Jose if he gets a talented player from our loan system and manages to successfully displace the greatest GK in our history for him,
Obers - Hence why I said Jose is unlikely to make drastic changes to the squad as he's not that type of manager to give say 2 youth players a serious run in the team, despite them doing well or poorly.

His work rate is very poor, he hasn't done anything special except pass the ball sideways.
What really gets on my nerves is people acting like a 19 year old kid from our academy is the saviour of our season despite never actually doing anything of note when playing for us.
