Genk midfielder Kevin De Bruyne says Chelsea are still very interested in signing him and are planning a future for him.

The Premier League club attempted to buy the 20-year-old in the summer but refused to meet the Belgian team's asking fee.

However, Chelsea, who played Genk in the Champions League group stage this season, remain keen to do a deal and the player has suggested he could be sent out on loan if he completes a move to Stamford Bridge.

"Chelsea are still interested in signing me and have a plan ready for me. It would be perfect if they'd sent me out on loan to another team first. Something like Thibaut Courtois at Atletico Madrid. He has made the right choice,” De Bruyne told Sporza.

De Bruyne admits he would find it hard to stay at the Belgian champions for another season, but admits his club’s valuation of him could scupper any possible deal.

"Staying at Genk for another season is not an option for me. Chelsea were very serious last summer, but you never know what team shows an interest this time," he continued.

“Maybe Genk's asking price is too high. They want to receive as much as they got for Courtois [€9 million, (£7.5m)]. That's a lot of money for a player from the Belgium league.”

The midfielder insists he is not worried about joining Chelsea merely to play in the reserves like fellow Belgian youngster Romelu Lukaku as he believes just training with a club like the Blues opens many doors for a player.

"Lukaku's situation at Chelsea doesn't scare me," he said. "He's training with some of the best players in the world. Even if he doesn't succeed at Chelsea, he'll have become a better player.

"You can join pretty much any team once you've played at Chelsea."

I don't think the club would worry to much over 7.5M for him to be honest. Most of the rumours when we were being linked with him daily were that they wanted more than they got for Courtois.

Arsenal & Chelsea have joined the race to sign Pato.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Pato is becoming increasingly isolated at the Rossoneri and only communicates with his fellow Brazilians in the squad.

One teammate admitted: "He doesn't know if they're going to kick him out."

Chelsea aren't panicking after seeing Issa Kallon commit to a pro deal at Vitesse Arnhem.

Kallon is regarded the best talent to come through at Vitesse in modern times and was wanted by Chelsea and Tottenham.

But the teen has penned a new two-and-a-half year deal with Vitesse.

While disappointed not to lock down Kallon, Chelsea are likely to have first option on the youngster in the future thanks to their close relationship with Vitesse.

This one was good.

(Marek Hamsik's agent)

Mino Raiola barked: “As for reports of Chelsea’s interest in Hamsik and Edinson Cavani, those came out of The Sun, a paper that frankly isn’t even good for cleaning car windows. If Roman Abramovich had wanted Cavani and Hamsik, after reading the story in that paper, he would’ve changed his mind.

“Clearly if Marek renews his contract, then he has no intention of leaving Napoli. Then President Aurelio De Laurentiis will be free to accept an offer when he thinks it is right for a Napoli player.”

Chelse face competition from Russia to sign Van Wolfswinkel.

Zenit St Petersburg have asked to be kept informed about other clubs interest in him.

Louis Laros (his agent) - "Ricky has had a great season and at almost every game scouts come to see him, even from Russia," said the agent. "I think he'll leave the Portuguese club in the near future."

"I know they (Manchester United and Chelsea) are watching him but that is not unusual because they are watching all the best young players in Europe."

Chelsea and Man United alerted as they have been told that Ganso could leave Santos.

"The player's will is the most important thing," Luis Oliveira told reporters at a news conference on Tuesday. "In case Ganso wants to leave Santos and our interests are preserved, we can negotiate.

"But until today, no offer for him has arrived. I let Andre leave [to Dynamo Kiev] in 2010 and I have let other players leave after that, I do not want to slow down anyone's career.

"Ganso has a contract until 2015, the deal is signed and we want him to stay until the end of it.

"Since the club are not entitled to any sort of compensation after the end of his contract, we understand that the figure we will receive is the same, whether Santos have 45 per cent or 55 per cent [of his economic rights]."

Chelsea are reportedly lining up a €35 million bid to sign São Paulo midfielder Lucas Moura.

According to Brazilian media outlet Lance, the West London club will come back with a second bid after already having a €30 million offer rejected at the end of last year.

Despite attracting strong interest from some of Europes biggest clubs, Lucas recently stated that his desire is to continue playing for São Paulo up until atleast the 2014 World Cup.

The 19-year old's contract with the Paulista club runs until December 2015 and includes a €80 million buy-out clause
