Conte on Matic: "I can only say positive things about him. I think he was one of the key players in winning the title. Now Matic, unfortunately, is playing for Manchester United. I wish for him the best, not on Sunday, but in the future."

Islamophobe

A term created by fascists, used by cowards, to manipulate morons

Islam is a set of ideas, some which are perfectly positive and life affirming like with any mainstream religion, and many which are worthy of criticism. Like any set of beliefs formulated over 1000 years ago.

Bigotry towards people is a completely different matter, but ideas have to be within the scope of honest discussion.

Would add the term was first coined by Iranian fundamentalists in the 1970s, not some cosy West Coast think tank.

So I don't see where you are coming from. Most people who are vitriolic towards Israel and judged it by completely unfair and separate standards to any other nation tend to be doing so for religious reasons.

And that it isn't a coincidence to find homophobia mixed in

so it's not a shock that a pro-palestine supporter laughs off homophobia.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

My, my, my. Fascists, cowards, morons, you're not one to stop at a casual insult, are you?

But, by all means to please do continue to arrogantly and insultingly laugh people off, it really does aid your cause. You come across as really fancying yourself as having some kind of superior moral intellect.

Funny though, that you should reserve such expletives for a term like Islamophobe, pedantically pointing out its origins as if that were of any significance when you purport to arguing "sets of ideas", without hesitating to lend a second thought to your own use of the term anti-semitism, nor to the origins of the term Semitic, nor to how or why it has arrived at its reductionist appropriation to signify a minority of the people it was orignially intended to identify.

That you should be using the anti-Semitic brush to tar people with (in reality, fewer labels could be considered more cowardly as a means to avoid engaging an issue), and then go on to equate those to "most people who are vitriolic about Israel" whilst labelling the use of Islamophobe as something for fascists, cowards and morons is an irony of absolutely staggering proportions.

Finally, what "scope of honest discussion" is it you refer to when aligning homophobia, bigorty and what you have termed "anti-Semitism"? It smacks of pure hipocrisy.

I don't think I'd ever want Jose back. In any role.

Wonder if it would be worth starting a striker and bringing Hazard off the bench against Barca.

Apart from coming on agst Spurs in the semi gimal, I cant really remember Hazard changing a game when coming on as a sub

Actually think he always changes the game when he's brought on. Just not so sure he would directly score a goal.

Oh, and fwiw, imo both GoT and Vikings have gone badly down the pan over the last season.

If anything though, I'd say Vikings' fall has been far worse. Too many inconsequential characters and stories going nowhere, not to mention the final rush to kill people off and give them some kind of significance they haven't really had in the entire series. There were people getting 'death scenes' who I couldn't even tell from the extra standing nearest to them. That last episode really was utter crap.

What a disppointment, they really haven't known what to do with it since they killed Ragnar off.

Imo the tiny island battle episode from GoT was worse than anything Vikings has produced. It's was comical.

He made a big impact in that FA cup game at Old Trafford under Rafa. 2-0 down at HT but should've won it in the end.

Not sure which GoT battle you're talking about, must've forgotten it quickly.

Ah, yes, that one. Agreed, ridiculous. Imo they're trying to capture ever-broader audiences but in the process have lost almost everything that made the series engaging to begin with. Last couple of seasons you just continue to watch because you want to see where it all goes after investing so much time in it.

I think the problems they've had are different to the ones Vikings has encountered. Maybe I just wasn't prepared for Vikings to go downhill so markedly. It had a degree of parallelism to actual history and legend that made it interesting to follow. Now it's like they've thrown all of that into a hat and are just pulling bits out and sticking them together at random.
