And you have to say maresca has improved us massively

I still think it's too early to agree with that, but I really loved how he set us up agst Villa and he gives the impression he has a clear vision. Just gave a good interview actually
----------------------------------------------------------------------
….how?

I think it’s massively clear we have improved and not only from last season but within this season. To try to give Poch credit for the way we are looking this season is silly. Our results improved end of the season but the performances were god awful.

And just because the defense is still poor (far less poor) doesn’t mean he hasn’t improved us massively.

Wonder what Roman's thinking of us at the moment? We're finally looking like the (sustainable) attacking team with a sh!t defence he secretly always wanted us to be

Well we took 38 points from our last 19 games last season, and we are averaging two pints a games at present, so no improvement there.

We also have a fitter and much deeper squad this season.

So it's not obvious to me.

But, this manager does seem to have a lot more to him than Poch. But, best time to judge that will be at the end of them season.

disagree

I feel people obviously weren't watching us and just seeing the results. I think apart from one good half at West Ham, we basically played well for 20mins and then held on for the rest of the game, or needed Palmer to bail us out. It so blatantly obvious how much better we are. And not only that Enzo has been the first manager in quite a while who has the whole squad playing well, because in the past whenever we made subs the whole shape of the team would disappear

Last time we played Spurs (in May) this was our bench:

J. Acheampong
M. Bettinelli
C. Casadei
L. Castledine
K. Dyer
T. George
Z. Sturge
J. Tauriainen
D. Washington

Also no longer Palmer FC, no knock on the lad but it's great to get good results and not overly rely on one player.

We have a lot more attacking options compared to last season. We lost Sterling but we've added Neto, Sancho, Nkunku and Felix. Also helps that Jackson has done a complete u-turn and become the most clinical striker in the league.

We have 100% improved. It's chalk and cheese. Yes defensively we could be better but again in the last 2 years under these chit managers we would have lost the last two games.

Maresca employs actual tactics. He switches is up for earch opponent.

2 things I hear.

Maresca got a fitter squad

Well yeah because he's focusing on training and improving players rather than beasting them every session and relying on running to win games. Poch was awful for that.

The other thing I hear is we haven't beaten anyone. Or we are losing key games.

Well I say, every game and every point is key and yes we haven't beaten the traditional big clubs but we have also beaten or not lost against teams we should be beating forest and palace aside.

You also can't sit here and say that we should have lost to liverpool we were arguably the better side. we drew to united at old Trafford which seems to be the only game they get up for. We drew against a very very good arsenal side.

Spurs will be a test and yes they could beat us but I trust us more to get a result with enzo than any other manager simply because of the way we set up and manage games.

Enzo has also just got on with it, improving individuals, look at Jackson, mois, colwill madueke to name jusy a few, I could go on

We are going to get sancho for 20m which would be the steal of the century if he continues this form.

Under poch our from coincided with Palmers brilliance, we are no longer relying on him fully

Nearly half a season done and we just look like we are getting better and better. Things can change yes but on current form there isn't any comparisons to last year and our last manager

Nope, Liverpool the best team easily.

Their last 11 games they've played 6 top half PL teams including the champions, German champions, CL winners & come out with a deserved W9 D2 L0 record.

It's their league to lose this year.

Enzo Maresca:

He said: "Noni can do much more. He can do much more. The moment he starts to score or assist and is happy, he starts to drop a little bit and the reason why he was not playing is because I do not like the way he trained.

"He has to understand that he has to train every day good. He has to be ambitious. He scored one tonight, he has to go for the second one and the third one. He has to give more assists.

"But overall, he is doing great, he is doing fantastic. He is doing even better in terms of numbers. Noni has to understand he has to work more because he can be much, much, much better."

Hes not wrong - continue to maintain he is potentially WC. However, if he continues to just use 2 braincells he wont top the likes of Shirley/Moses let alone be in the same sentence as the likes of Hazard/Robben. He has the potential
