I wouldn't mind allegri if there was genuine long term thinking behind it. If the club came out and put a real plan in place and communicated it.
Would go along way to apeasing fans imo

I wouldn't have such a problem with Jose either.
He probably was the wrong manager to bring in for his second time round. But this time we would be working from scratch. It might be even a good opportunity for him to prove he isn't a check book manager
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same as above
If the board appointed Jose with long term realistic objectives and Jose agreed and the board publicly agreed then fair enough
However I think Jose's bridges are burnt at chelsea

Interesting graphic...
Was surprised Hazard was so high up. I know a lot of people like to criticise his stats, but tbh I feel he is very underrated in this regard.
A winger scoring 20+ goals is the exception - Hazard scoring 15-20 goals a season is actually very impressive.

Yeah true.
I am growing to like Mourinho as a pundit tbh. I do wish him well. I didn't rate him very highly during his second stint, but he will always be cherished for his first!
I think right now in his career he needs a new challenge. So I would actually quite like him to take up a smaller job; he is a great manager, just doesn't suit managing modern day footballing super stars.

The current stat obsession trend is infuriating at times...
Weirdly I think Hazard has showed me the restrictions of measuing a players ability through stats alone...

No way Jose, he hasnt brought through a youth player in his life. And his football is antithesis of what we want. We would have Bakajoko in the XI with Zouma at DM
Lampard or ten Hag for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Ten Hag (but is realistically not going to happen)
2. Lampard
3. Jose
Although, it would be kind of interesting to see what a Jose third stint would be like. If its anything like his third seasons, then it should be some spectacle
Remember Jose's dossier on hazard trying to prove his pooint that he didn't track back enough
If you want hazard to defend then your doing football wrong
This is also why I like sarri. Just let hazard be hazard
That's when I fell out with Jose personally
I retract my previous statement re Jose being re hired
Bale is a really interesting one. On the one hand, his form has been inconsistent whilst at Real. On the other he has been at times amazing, and shown up on the big occasions.
Still feel his best season was his last at Tottenham. Its a shame injury has got in the way of his career - its also crazy how fans use his injury record as a stick to beat him with. At almost any other club fans would respect him and be supportive. Real are toxic though.

I thought the dossier was mostly to praise his performance?
I'm probably wrong though - in which case, it's a pretty weird move by Jose

I would be cool with it if the stats actually went beyond goals and assits.
Its like the way Jorginho is hammered for one assit all season but considering his role in the team is to play ten to twenty yard passes from the base of our midfield to wingers and attacking midfielders sixty yards from goal why is anyone shocked?
If you want to measure a winger you should look at chances created, successful dribbles and crossing accuracy percentages. An assist depends on your striker being good and can refer to anything from a five yard pass to a 90 yard hail mary ball.
I also agree that people miss the intangibles. The ability of players to control games, the joy their football brings, and the way the defence reacts when they are on the ball.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
100% agree with this - its how stats are used and the context which is important.
I think its fair to measure the performances of Salah on his goal scoring stats, as his game is geared towards scoring. I guess its completely relative on the player you are examining. We also shouldn't be just looking at positions, but roles for the team. Hazard might have the same position as Salah, but operates so differently it becomes silly to compare their numbers.
I actually say this as someone who thinks Salah has been overall better than Hazard over the course of two seasons. I just don't think it makes a good argument to look at goals alone.
Marcelo Bielsa would be certainly interesting. I'm a big fan of his management style.
Hazard transfer fee gone up to £150m
I remember a stat from a few years back where John Terry had more goals then Iniesta. Which meant Iniesta was shet.
