“I think that before going to Chelsea, I’ll have to play for one or two years at another English club, in order to adapt to the football played there”, the shot-stopper told Belgian TV channel RTBF.
“After that, we’ll see if I’m ready to go to Chelsea. It is hard to say that now.”
The keeper is though pleased with the progress he has made since leaving Genk and he has made 21 appearances for the Madrid side and has not conceded in 540 minutes.
“I’m pretty happy with my performances here at Atletico.
“Since Petr Cech is one of the best goalkeepers in the world I think he’ll stay. I have time and I’m still working hard.
“Chelsea continue to keep an eye on me. As for the rest, we’ll see.”
He should come to Chelsea next season as I'm sure he will give Cech more then a good fight to become first choice. He is a better shot stopper, all what needs to be checked is if he is good at catching the airial balls.

I think the idea of him going on loan to a Premier League club for a season or two would be beneficial, because as he says it would help him adapt to the English game rather than being thrown straight into the deep end at a big club, look what happened to De Gea
Leave him at Ath. Madrid. There he will probably get european football experience as well
