I think places will naturally decline in numbers anyway some will stay at home others won't heed it but the overall decline will help regardless. I think our course of action (as it stands) is the best way. Monitor it see what happens, if we see huge spikes in the next week/two to 6k+ numbers then increase lockdowns or get more serious etc

But as it stands we do not have it bad enough (and hopefully won't ever will) to justify full lockdowns as if we start it now we'll be in one for 4-6 weeks minimum, you need to gradually do it and then ramp it up when and if necessary

Also hope your friend is getting better RTM, and you Superb. Best wishes to both

here's what i think from today
Right i know they are not testing general people now and only hospitalised people etc etc but even so -

in the last 24 hours they tested an additional 4,000 people and the numbers only increased by about 140.
I fully reckon by boris giving a conference this evening he was expecting today's numbers to be a hell of a lot higher and probably about another 400+ cases with the usual rates of infection from tests. And was prepared to go to a more stringent lockdown.

But as a result they've relaxed it a bit and have bought some more time to be patient and kind of putting the onus on companies and the public to say look we don't think you should do this and that but it's up to you.

Which i think is the best course of action imo but then again what do i know. But i do know when you tell people you can't do something they're most likely to just do it, we're not china we are not under a regime or dictatorship and will say yes to anything the government says.

Whether today was a lucky rare false dawn RE numbers (and obviously the unofficial numbers in the background) who knows and hopefully they're not but i guess we'll find out throughout the next week/two when it's supposed to really peak however it was a pleasant surprise today i believe for all. Just think these low increase numbers caught everyone off-guard today

One thing you do have to factor in as well though i don't know much about other countries but we have been in a really long winter, we have had 6 months of winter since october so we've had numerous bugs, colds, $hit air etc since october so our immune systems should be a bit stronger and better in general than some other countries and especially even in fighting off the virus or avoiding it in general.

Can't speak for other countries but i personally think we'll probably get a couple thousand more over the next 3-4 weeks then it'll die down. Once again i know fk all but just my perspective and my analysis and obviously i'm speaking from a hopeful perspective as well.

But today just really went against the grain in a good way for once, maybe it will be a false dawn and we'll have about 1,000 new ones from 3,000-4,000 tests in the last 24 hours tomorrow but hopefully not

but yeh man what do i know i'm just giving my opinion, probably be wrong as it's more out of hope than anything but who knows.

I could also add from one perspective that London/England is probably Chinese people's #1 destination so it's probably been circling and around england for a lot longer than anywhere else worldwide and probably been here for the last 3-4 months so the majority of us have had it undiagnosed already so we could well see/expect lower numbers in general.

But then again there's only a community of about 150k chinese people in london as opposed to paris which is about 500k and italy which is about 350k

posted on 16/3/20

so obviously not all these chinese go back to china and are in and out for holidays etc but you've probably still got twice as much spread in italy and triple as much spread in france

posted on 16/3/20

but i guess tourism would more likely be a spread than regular chinese people living in the country so my original point might have a small bit of substance

all speculation anyway, fed up of talking about it every day of my life already, feels like brexit part 2

and now i've gotta work from home so u khunts are stuck with me for the next month main reason you'll all be hoping it blows over ASAP!!

SkySportsNews: Actor Idris Elba says he has self-isolated after testing positive for COVID-19 adding he has "no symptoms so far"

Lol wtf. Why does he have access to testing when asymptomatic. And I guess another example of the very wide symptom spectrum of COVID19

posted on 17/3/20

I've been wondering that as well, a lot celebrities testing positive but otherwise being fine. I've been shrugging at people and sending them home

At my Dad’s course they are limiting people per hole!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Should never be any more than 8 - 12 on say a par 5 hole anyway... And that should be split into three separated fours at most

On one hand people staying in their own caravans is a perfect isolation system... Trouble is it's finding somewhere to take the caravan that's open

Cheers mate and Soc before. I feel awful still but despite my overreaction on Sunday night I seriously doubt it's covid 19. It just feels like regular lurgy. And there are still only two cases in Norfolk where I live, which I don't quite understand.

I don't particularly understand this at all either BK. Not sure exactly why he is getting tested if he's feeling completely fine. And more importantly how many people like him with covid 19 are completely symptomless and why ?

Mons it just feels like regular lurgy that I've had before over the years. Zero cough or lung issues so far though which is what they say are the symptoms you have look out for.

And I don't think there's such a thing as having "not that bad" corona. You surely either have it or you don't. I don't understand people having corona with zero symptoms like Idris Elba though.
