Would've actually been fine knowing we didn't get the pen had they not gone and reviewed the Utd nothing play for a pen. Its like a slap across the face while they say "you know, not only are you not getting anything but we will try our best to give them everything"

Also, I'm watching on NBC coverage and they gave far more credence to the Azpi foul than they did with the Rashford one. You could tell by their voices that they were perplexed that only the United one was reviewed...

Meh half in the end.

First 30-35 minutes boring. But at least, we looked somewhat more in control of the two sides. Still, we could not create any clear cut chances. I don’t think we got ball to forwards quick enough or frequently enough. When we did Pulisic, Werner and Havertz all didn’t make most of it. They’re three quality players and we didn’t see it at all. Then last 5-10 minutes we looked more nervy in defence, despite everything and looking ‘somewhat’ in control for majority of a half United came away with 3-4 decent chances. Kinda worried when they being on their big guns second half.

Shout out to Jorginho, Chilwell and couple excellent progressions of ball from final third to their third.

Not sure if I would change anything with subs, somehow just tell players to play quicker and our front three to just do better innit

It is nice to see a normal functioning ‘keeper. Statistically if Mendy is literally just an average competent PL ‘keeper we should concede much less goals. Small sample size but it has worked so at in his appearances and by eye test also a calmer defence.

I agree, better tempo needed that.

James alas been too negative for me. Won't make passes to Havertz when he's in space and continuously goes back to the CBs or keeper.
