General play has been better than I expected, aside from poor passes and decision making in the final third. We have been very composed up until we get about 30 yards from goal, where we have been consistently dreadful.

On the Southampton goal, Zouma is the main culprit - he was atrocious stopping like that.

But. I also think Mendy sold himself too easily. He needs to be more assertive in one on ones.

Yeah his touch was still mostly very poor. Remember everyone saying how raw he was. Remember a huge fallout from the Utd game we lost 4-0 where people said he couldn’t hold the ball up or control it, one of them leading to one of their goals,

In fairness he's our top scorer but that's not saying a huge amount I suppose with none of our players setting the world alight in front of goal this season.

We need Haaland. I'm assuming that's the plan for the summer regardless of what Dortmund are saying.
