Seems to have been a narrative started that maguire has been very good and is an excellent defender compared to what he actually is. Decent but overpriced. Seems people are starting to push this narrative despite him having dodgy moments in every game I see him play. But he seems to get away with it atm

Agree 100% . He is totally crap when up agst t pace. I can't wait till next season when we finally put United down.

Pernandes, the flat track bully shdnt be in it. He has faded like a fart in the wind. If anyone would rather have him over Mount they are crazy.

He does a bit yeah. But who is a less lazy option. Mount is one and I am not joking. How many players at 22 and just one year of PL football lead and drive a top 4 team and double cup finalist.

So underrated, but I prefer it that way.

The players vote, it will be interesting who they think is better between Foden and Mount.

The Konsa and Mings situation is weird. Mings seems to get all the praises and England appearances, but every Villa fan out there thinks Konsa is way better. They don't rate Mings that highly in the first place.

Yeah, if he’s in regularly it’s weird that Tomoric, Godfrey, Konsa as you mentioned maybe even Tarkowski don’t get in regularly. Still, Southgate isn’t the first or last international manager to have his slightly random favourites

He also picks based on international performance which is important (hence why I think TAA is a fair omission). Mings is also a rare English left footed CB which is why he is considered

Picking based on international performances is a bit self fulfilling though. The likes of Konsa and Tomori haven’t really had the chance to impress for England in the first place. Maybe they’d fare even better than Mings.

Sterling won it when he was 24 years old. I’m pretty sure you're eligible for the award if you’re 23 and under.

It’s a dumb rule. Why is a 24 year old winning the young player award.

It should be for those aged max 21 at the start of the season.

I agree but IF Dias is eligible for the award he should win it. Kane finally deserves to win the POTS reward. Highest goal scorer and assist maker in the league. Carries that Spurs team every season.
