What a copout excuse lol that they’re tired ahead of the Euros. Wasn’t a problem after the Europa League final

Yeah im sorry i dont buy it
Its what they tell themselves as an excuse
But you make time to do a pod for the biggest game of the year
Also Seb went on the football writers podcast to talk about it
Mad recency bias gripped everyone with the City team this year
They werent better than either Liverpool last season or themselves the two seasons before that
They found form when everyone else was sh't imo. Pep didnt suddenly perfect football midway through a covid season
I find it comical how little our Champions League win has been talked about across the media, both mainstream and more independent. Talksport barely mentioned it once since. Hilarious.
I quench my thirst with their salty tears
Im still randomly checking BBC's promo pic for the European football section
It remains a pic of Bayerns last win

I can understand this more given the Euros are on straight away
But BBC especially swept it under the rug a little bit. You couldnt find an article about it on the front page after 4 days or so

It won't change until someone else wins it next year. And if we should win it again they'll just keep Bayern's 2020 win on there for two years lol
And it gets better - look at the current main story, talking about Euros and transfers, so you have Mbappe on there, who has been linked with everybody under the sun with billionaire owners and a beach, Ronaldo who is more or less a free agent and will probably go back to a previous club be that United, RM or somewhere in PT, and then finally Werner..........like I know you can argue "but they are talking about the Euros", but this is imo is them implying we are trying to sell him, which anyone knows that is not true and there are more likely candidates who will be gone sooner.
But hey its not just the BBC, i saw elsewhere we would consider using Kova as part of a swap deal, and again anyone who knows the club knows Kova is one of the most important players in the team at the moment, and I think it showed begining of the season he was carrying us. I know most people dont give a sheet about us, and most people turn there noses up when we talk about the likes of Mount, Werner and Kova.
Hell even my dad looked perplexed when I said Mount was probably the best performing Englishman last season - and i generally feel bad for Mason as what he has done is incredible but he really doesnt get the pundits he deserved. Everyone talks about Grealish and Foden.......yet what did they do? MM was probably even under TT the first name on the teamsheet this season, which says a lot in a team that has players like Kante and Mendy in them who have also been amazing.
Campaign against Chelsea.
Tbf Grealish isnt in the best performing Englishman debate due to being Irish

Ass!
What happens with Barkley next season? Do we keep him? He’s a decent squad player to have but seems like a nob off the pitch. Villa don’t want him. I have a feeling he’ll end up going out on another loan.

Sell. Anything over £15M is profit
He’ll end up at Palace or Newcastle
Just open the car door after a bit of a drive and let him go. He won't be able to find his way back.
Forgot Ross the Boss is coming back to us. Nob has knocked like £10m off his price with his poor form, earlier in season looked like an easy sell for him for like 30-40m to Villa. It probably still isn’t beyond the realms of possibility we could get the lower end of that - £30m, from any rando PL team. I suppose if we don’t he just goes on loan again
He looked good at Villa for all of 3 matches
One of them was scoring the winner against Leicester
People wanted to believe he was good so badly that at the first sign of okay form all of a sudden it proved all their faith in him. Then it went quiet again after his few hours of good form went back to normal levels.
Hard sell, as I feel we could have to choose Ross here and Gilmour on load, or Gilmour here fighting for his place - if Gilmour can sit down and get some guarantee from TT of game time based on training/performance I would rather have a later, however if TT will just leaving him rotting on the bench no matter what I would rather he go get some game time
