Thing is every touch he does is amazing. He has had a severe lack of service already yet made every touch count, won headers, bossed defenders. Held it up. I am completely overwhelmed and impressed

I absolutely hated the way we played the last 15 minutes. We do it so often. Basically lose all forward impetus and become happy to keep possession. It's a big reason that we rarely score more than 2/3 goals in a match. It's like we go ahead and the team is like "great, job done". I miss the days when we'd actually go for the jugular and batter smaller teams.

Though Lukaku is a revelation for us - that match would've probably ended 0-0 last season.

Not a chance in hell any of our players just smash it in the corner like that from that position. They all try and do too much to ensure the finish is perfect and then ironically that is why it rarely went in

What I can't understand is why we keep slowing play down when Lukaku wants through balls or crosses into the area. If we had crossed 20 balls into the box he'd have got at least one more today.

This is true.

We look a bit undercooked.

Going to blame the international break for that.

Should hopefully see us return to normal form over the next couple of weeks.

Azpi will get a lot of assists.

I think we want to try and recreate his performance vs Arsenal more tbh. Bypass midfield into him so he can lay it off and get on the cross coming back in

Not with his passing tonight. One of the worst games he’s had in recent times. Nearly broke James ankle about 15 times. Good cross tho lol
