Could be a good option then - though supposedly he's a bit suspect defensively. Also, not sure how willing Barca would be to part with him mid-season.

Think he's been a bit part player this season in a rubbish Barca team.

And they've played him at RW

Chelsea are considering options to replace Chilwell.

First approach with Lucas Digne’s camp as he’s prepared to leave Everton.

Sergiño Dest is appreciated - nothing advanced yet. Nicolás Tagliafico has been discussed weeks ago.

Recalling E. Palmieri or Maatsen, plan B.

Tagliafico was a well-regarded statistically-effective LB for Ajax who a lot of people wanted instead of Chilwell but haven't tracked him for the last year or so.

Digne was a very good full back for Everton who has gone off the boil - no idea whether that is decline or just his situation at Everton.

I also know Maatsen is having a good loan and a lot of Chelsea nerds think he could be a squad player for us next season.

No idea on Dest, or how Palmieri is doing...
