I'm currently on 75 FF points from just three Arsenal players... Plus bonus points to be added

The main worry, and I think it was cited before by his stupid moneyball approach to buying players with metrics.

Most our players are really bad technically. Of our signings, badiashile, Jackson, cucurella, mudryk, sterling, disasi, caicedo!!!, all really really poor technically.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a massive issue that needs addressing, need a footballing bridge between manager and owners. We seem not to have footballing people there not what seems to be yes men there at the moment

Most goals conceded in our PL history. Our defenders aren't great but they've looked championship level under Poch. Also bear in mind we were quite solid in defence under Potter.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem is we also look moderately more effective going forward this season.

Partly the Palmer effect but also its because Poch turns matches into basketball games.

If we become a more compact team like under Tuchel we'll face the persistent issue we used to have of not being able to unlock low blocks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd say it's an (un) healthy mix of both. We got lucky and managed to find a "generational" talent amongst our scattergun transfer approach. And obviously playing in more open games is mainly going to favour the attackers. But there's a reason why managers generally don't favour playing in such a way (especially top ones). So I'm not sure that I can much (if any) credit to Poch to our abundance of goals - as his main contribution has been his dereliction of duty to properly coaching the side

The conundrum there is that all of them could become brilliant under a proper structure and a better manager, where there's a clear style implemented etc.

Flip side is,they aren't anywhere near that level yet, and may never be

I don’t think it’s a system thing mate, I’m talking touch, control, weight of pass, agility, shooting…technical attributes you ever have or don’t

In terms of coaching tuchels the best coach we’ve ever had. For what he got out of a team of that quality is the most impressive. Jose had better teams, so did conte etc
--------------------------------------------------------
Best game by game tactician.

Not sure he's the best coach. He didn't improve too many players really, certainly not to the extent Mourinho did.

Confidence with a few of them I'd say. Happy to give Caicedo another season, and Mudryk (been more glimpses recently he can be good)

Not sure on the rest. Jackson would be a good squad player, similar to Kalou possibly, but will never be our main striker, hasnt got it in him. He must have been close to 25-30 goals for the season if he had been able to convert most his chances

He won a cl with havertz, Werner, alonso, mount (who has fallen off a cliff) improved rudiger, christensen, and loads others.

Mourinho is obviously the goat but we were on the up and rainieri likely would have won the league the next year

I don't think the owners would bring back Tuchel. Top much pride and also I genuinely he'd struggle too with our current set up and players to achieve much more than this.

My bigger worry is I could easily see them bringing back Jose for vibes.

Oh hang on, you think he achieved the most?

I thought you meant actual coaching

Hope it is Jose

But I feel they’ll think bringing Tuchel back will get them in the fans good books by showing they’ll swallow their pride

Albeit they’re Americans and stubborn and Jose would get them in the fans good books

So hopefully it’ll be Jose and he’ll bring JT as assistant then we can finally become winners again

Jose for one season either goes incredibly well,or incredibly bad. No inbetween

posted on 23/4/24

I have a higher opinion of that squad than others do but Tuchel made us one of the best teams in Europe for at least a year.

It is the only time we could have been considered in that conversation at any point over the past seven years since Conte last won the league with us.

The other worry I have is Gareth Southgate

posted on 23/4/24

Main thing at the moment is getting the fans back on side. Atmosphere is the most toxic I've ever seen it. Jose/Tuchel etc, gets the fans back.

What comes after that is anyones guess

Would remind me of his second return. Prem and League cup...then he lost 9 or 10 out of 16 after that

I'd be happy with a nice middle ground to that

Interesting. I think it's meh

His formula never changes. 1st season will be encouraging (for us atm that's like 6th), 2nd season we might squeak top 4 or sh!thouse a cup, 3rd season he'll crack & sabotage it.

I am morbidly interested to see Jose does - I am not gonna lie
