That shortlist is so depressing, would any of you be excited by any of them appointments?

Were you happy when Poch was appointed?

I'd be happy enough with Frank
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thomas Frank from Brentford?

Really?

Yes

Doesn't really fit their narrative of young and progressive coach, he's 50 lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True, but he's happy enough to have a set piece coach, work under sporting directors and has proved that he can compete against top teams.

Not overly, but the appointment made sense.

Needed someone with PL experience and history of working with a young squad.

Imagine seeing how we’ve dealt with set pieces this season and then saying “we don’t need a set piece coach. We have it covered”

He made plenty of mistakes throughout the season, I'm not that fussed about him going. It was best for both parties imo.

I'm just underwhelmed by the current shortlist.

Fair enough, I don't think he competed that well this season, they finish 16th. I think he's done a good job at Brentford but I wouldn't want him here in all honesty

I was fine with it, more excited than I am for anyone this time round.

Chelsea are set to ask Leicester for permission to speak to Enzo Maresca, TalkSport understands. (@alex_crook)

I keep hearing that the reason Poch and the club parted ways was a fundamental disagreement on transfers and the club want to work with a head coach that will be willing to work with whatever players the club want to bring.

Ok that's fine, I don't agree that sustained success can be achieved with that philosophy but if I put that aside for one minute my big question is as follows....

Why on earth wasn't this all fully agreed on when Poch was appointed head coach ? Talks went on for weeks between both parties. What the hell were they talking about and negotiating over all that time ?

It's ridiculous and a massive inexcusable failing on the club and this ownership.

🗣️ @FabrizioRomano: “Roberto De Zerbi had big problems with Brighton.

He is honest when he says he doesn’t have a club behind him. He is not negotiating with any club. We should keep an eye on him in the next week. He is an attractive manager for many clubs”

🚨 Understand that Kieran McKenna's representatives remain in talks with Chelsea and Brighton, with the Ipswich manager thought to prefer a move to Stamford Bridge at this stage. (via @ed_aarons)

McKenna would be absolutely nuts to come to this basket case club and derail his promising young career when we sack him by January.

Yeah his hoofball doesn't match the possession based football the club have claimed they want.

Poch is off to Man Utd to make them as good as they've been since Fergie. All thanks to our clueless owners.
