I wrote an article years ago about always paying top dollar for superstars and never finding these diamonds befor they get big
It's always been a frustration of mine and I think the straw the broke the camels back was matic
Everyone knew he was good enough for us yet we waited until he became a a great player to buy him back
Now the horrible suspicion i have now is. Are we planning to be a benfica and Brighton and feed the other big teams
Or are we genius and stocking up on these players and will end up with a super team in 3 5 years

They might need to play for pens yeah, they've got players on now to play keep ball. It's Spain though, they're quite good at that when they need to be

Great teams, great finish, dreadful match overall. Wasn't even hard fought with a derby vibe (which can be fun), almost all the fouls were cynical little niggles.
If it was clean, would've been an incredible game.

Think it’s more that France just haven’t really got a great team, or a cohesive team
Last time they had a great all round team with high chemistry and some world class talent. Mbappe’s been off it, nose doesn’t help, Griezmann’s been poor and their midfield is aging, giroud’s too old and the young players picked over him are crap
