Neville says if England don't up their game they will go home against Switzerland. Who believes the lads can and will improve on the Slovakia performance? Does Southgate have some tricks left in his notebook.... Or will his demise come with the sound of music ringing in his ears...

We could still win even if we don't improve. This is a good tournament to be one of the favourites & not on your game, the standard isn't very good across the board.

I could easily see the final being England vs. France with everyone wondering how tf both teams managed to get so far

Chelsea are looking at short term front of shirt sponsor options. There also remains the possibility that Chelsea start a second successive season wearing sponsorless shirts, despite optimism that a deal can be clinched by then. (@Matt_Law_DT) #CFC

Lol these mugs were going on about how badly run the club was under Roman. Yet again here they are struggling to get a good sponsorship deal.

Damn, Neil Bath was a legend

Manchester United today told staff that the club is intending to cut 250 jobs as new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe continues his bid to slash costs at Old Trafford.

Why exactly is this club destroying?

Neil Bath, the man who's guided and overseen Chelsea Academy's rise to the best youth football academy in all of England over the past 20 years, has reportedly left the club. Bath had been at Chelsea since starting as a part-time youth coach in 1993.

Meh, it had gone stale anyway. Our youth / academy had been on the decline for the last 5+ years

Needed a change / refresh. So not really unhappy with it

Yeah don't really get the outrage on things like twitter

We had a golden generation with the likes of james tammy mount etc but nothing really since

Levi the last of them

Unlike us to sell youth or rely on them for profit

Seems like it’ll be a common thing under the new ownership after the financial mess they’ve got the club into.

We’ve won no fa youth cup in 6 years

Barely brought anyone of any note through, and the players some people try lay claim to for us only improved once they left

They were both mediocre and had been for half a decade to a decade. Honestly don’t get the outrage

There are plenty of good players that have come from the academy recently. It’s just that we’ve ended up selling most of them and replacing them with more expensive players who aren’t proper upgrades.

Yeh and they didn’t become good until they left, as I said above trying to claim credit for players that only became good a couple years upon leaving

It’s not like we’ve been some quality team for 5 years and churned out loads of quality youth

City and others have far exceeded us. So a change was needed

Well of course a player is going to improve after they’ve had the chance to actually play at a high level. But that’s more a case of not giving them a chance, as opposed to them not being talented enough.

Would you say Palmer only became good after City sold him, so their academy shouldn’t be credited for him?

Pep never fancied him much

Surely we get at least some credit for Palmer's development.
