Turkey blowing it

Excellent turnaround by Holland. They needed to step up second half and they did.

Listening to Gary Neville and the other pundits makes me understand why we never win fck all in these tournos. All the talk from them is that we don't need to change anything for the Holland game and that it's written in the stars for us somehow.

Fact is we were trash for much of today against a team that isn't anywhere near as good as the teams we're about to face in the semis. We only improved when the subs came on and gave us an actual left flank. But yeah we'll just continue to shethouse our way through.

I'll take the uber optimism over the uber critical tone that the England coverage used to be back in the day. Specifically the Sven years, that bordered on disgusting at times.

England fans need to chill out. Three semis & one final (maybe two) in four major tournaments is a good life for any International team at any point in history. If we don't win something in this era, oh well, International football's kind of hard.

It’s becoming more coming on this side. Instead of the silence and confusion at the stadium I think it’s a good way to keep the crowd informed

Yeah we're in a semi so we need to get all dreamy eyed and start ignoring reality. The nations that actually win these tournos don't do that. They look to improve and get better.

Haven't all the teams people have been mashturbating to been knocked out apart from Spain

Just saw that the first shot we had on target in both the Slovakia and Switzerland games were the late goals that bailed us out of defeat lol. Horrendous stat.

France are in the semi's without scoring a goal from open play... It's been that sort of tournament

This Euro's has seemed really low in quality. I dunno if it's because the last World Cup seemed so good that my perceptions are off, but I've been bored sh!tless.

Even Spain, by far the best team, are just very good. Not incredible though.

I think part of the problem is that every team has decent players nowadays and they are all well drilled. So they’re difficult to break down, even if they’re not a good side. There are no easy games anymore. There is a lot of good defending on display, but that’s not nearly as exciting as lots of goals.

Exactly right and many countries have players that play in high levels in the champions League

Yeah I've noticed that. The International super teams are gone, the talent's a bit more evenly spread now.

Even France the last couple of tournaments who've had ridiclous depth in the talent pool, the starting XI was just good. Better than everyone else but still just good. England this tournament, probably do have the best squad on balance but it's not what I'd typically associate with being a pre-Euro favourite shout? It's top heavy as all f*ck
