Watched our highlights - solid display v our bogey team...could have won that by 5
Solid midfield i thought enzo and Ciecedo all over it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They had some good chances too, think the scoreline is about right in the end. But as you said, great result agst our Bogey team. Our other Bogeyvteamco ING up next weekend

IF we want to fight for the PL title the January transfer window is right around the corner, sign a top CB if we have the funds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Need more than that, but agree with the principle. Would also need a top class keeper and striker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think a Van Dijk/Saliba/Dias sort of leader at the back would sort out a lot of our defensive problems. Not sure who in the market we can get though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So if we do start the New Year with the same points gap to Liverpool as we have now, it will be interesting to see if the club decides to go for it in the January window. It clearly wasn't in their plans to be winning the title this year, will they get greedy and alter their strategy, or leave as is, and be happy with how things are progressing.

I think we just as a collective and a club need to stick with the narrartive that we are not title challengers and agree with Enzo that we are not.
hes right when he says this. Jackson doesn't miss that sitter, we don't concede that goal if we are genuine title challengers.
Winning the title whilst amazing would be more towards the Leicester side of things if you take into consideration the narrative of Chelsea at the beginning of the season.
Champions League qualification is still the target. I am worried that the narrative switches from "excellent season surpassing expectations" to "failed title challenge"

we will not win the title and i dont think we should be accelerating our plan and doing something silly in the transfer market in Jan as I really dont think it will benefit us

I'd only accelerate plans, if it was buying players we'd have bought in the summer in January instead. But yeah, not a fan of any impulse purchases or panic deals.
Sanchez played well yesterday but I only saw the highlights on MOTD.
He seems to have really good reflexes (great save to deny Noorgard) & very quick off his line (denied Mbuemo from a clear scoring opportunity).
If he could improve his decision making, he'd actually be a decent goalkeeper. I can see why Maresca is sticking by him.

To be fair his decision making to come for that late corner was a fantastic decision
CBs we definitely need a more experienced partner next to Colwill.
If there's someone available in January who fits the profile then it'll make sense but yeah no need to panic buy.

I don't think they showed that bit on MOTD but it looked like he had a good game and deserved a clean sheet.
Must admit I wasn’t Sanchez biggest fan but he seems to be improving. Who knew, maybe giving players time and patience is the right way, look at Cucurella now. Our best player for me this season, guy is just fantastic and everywhere all over the pitch, never stops
Last season I thought he was the biggest clown I’d ever seen play for us

Dunno I quite like Tosin he’s like a Rudiger and I also like Diaxsi as he always has a goal
I feel like anyone we buy just would take time to settle and be crap anyway
