Looking at the form table atm. Only the top 4 have that healthy green look, from us down only two teams (Villa & Palace) have 3 wins in the last 6.
I'm not sure I've seen that before. The PL's been going this way for awhile but that's a bit crazy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It shows how tough the PL is and how high the standard is across the board these days. You have to be at your best to win games regardless of who you are or the strength of your squad. Just look at City's struggles this season. Every win has to be fully earned.

If we don't beat Wolves or City, I give the board my blessing to allow Osimhen to doggie us.

Newcastle's hot streak won't last forever, just as ours didn't. Question is when can we get out of our winless streak and start winning some games again ? We'll need to start scoring goals and converting chances in order for that to happen. No win is gifted to you in the PL.
Jackson needs to be removed from the striker position. Either play him on the wing or bench him. Either way we need someone else in the nine position.
For the next game I'd stick Nkunku up top and play Jackson wide seeing that none of our wingers are doing much at the moment anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
well be fine the quality of play has been good still, just need to do it over 90 mins
well be back to winning ways against wolves

We'll be fine if we make some tweaks up top. Changing nothing will mean more of the same.
posted 10 hours, 36 minutes ago
Jackson could easily switch it on again, wouldn't chance it though, not this season. CL qualification's so important & it's right there, waiting to be taken.
posted 9 hours, 57 minutes ago
It's just basic 101 football tactics. Strikers blow hot and cold so when your striker is blowing cold you change things up.
posted 9 hours, 45 minutes ago
It would be good if the manager loosened up a bit as well and started to give the squad more of a say in PL matches. Nkunku and Felix need to play more of a part and just sticking them on for ten or so minutes at the end isn't that.
posted 9 hours, 38 minutes ago
Newcastle are on fire tbh, definitely the inform team right now.
They've got a settled first team with Isak scoring every game by the looks of it. Going to be difficult to stop unless they pick up injuries.
We've been playing well for 45 mins in the PL games we've messed up in recently. Unable to kill teams off when dominant and then paying the price in the second half where we inevitably drop off in terms of performance levels.
posted 9 hours, 23 minutes ago
Newcastle have a striker in excellent form, we have a striker who can't hit a barn door in current form.
No coincidence they're winning games while we're struggling just to draw them.
We're arguably playing just as well as Newcastle in most areas of the pitch but sticking the ball in the net is all that matters in this game.

We're also not very good defensively and as a team hardly ever keep clean sheets.
So in most games we need to score more than 1 goal for victory/draw

True but that's as much to do with having so few available defenders as we've had in the last few weeks. Or rather good defenders as the likes of Disasi don't count in that bracket. Hopefully bringing Chalobah back fixes much of that.

Potentially but they have others who contribute up front when Salah rarely doesn't.
Diaz, Gakpo and Jota (when fit) are pretty good tbh.
VVD at the back helps massively.
Would also say Gravenberch has been very consistent for them in midfield

Apparently we're after Adeyemi (LW) for the summer - I think he's injury prone as wel
