KDL - Don't think it's a dig at Torres, Kalou said he was delighted when he arrived. I think he ment more of a dig to everyone when they would be down if they weren't in the team.

As much as i can agree, he was one of the ones who was also like that when he was complaining about lack of playing time. Like i said, while i agree he should of had more games, he's pretty much just dropped himself in it.

Being told that Tottenham have said that they will not sell Modric at any price.

gazza. I was only mentioning Torres because he says 'bringing players in to the team' rather than existing players.

Being quiet and not complaining doesnt stop someone sulking and pouting, Torres is well known for that.

Anyway, was just some speculation i found interesting. I read the guardian article at the time.

Gazza - Think we were linked with him a while ago and it said then we were going to make a bid, so could be true.

Gazza - Says he dosen't want to be a back up keeper, so i don't rate our chances as that high of landing him.

KDL - I think we might still go for Pastore. Spurs will hold out for top money for Modric, and could well go up to 40M, if not more.

Think they will want in excess of 30M for him.

Anyone else read the rumours that Drogba is unhappy with the new contract offer? Says the club have offered him 2 years but he wants 3.

also on Sky Sports, Thiago's agent has said there is pretty much "no chance" of Thiago leaving Barca.

In the end i think he'll sign on anyway, whether it be 2 years or 3.

Even though our bid was rejected for Modric atleast it shows where doing something with transfers.

There is really no need to buy both modric and pastore,we only need 1 and for me it has to be Pastore,I reckon utd will come with a bid now and it will be accepted, that would be a blessing in disguise for us.Pastore must be signed not Modric.

Rumours are that Spurs want 45M for Modric but won't sell to Chelsea no matter how much.

I'd happily have both Modric and Pastore with Modric playing deeper and Pastore in behind the main Striker.

The only thing is I really don't see a place for Lampard at all. maybe rotating into one of the deeper midfield positions.

obv we hopefully will sign another wide attacker. plus you can rotate in Josh, Mikel, Essien, Lamps into the deeper positions and Benayoun could be cover for Pastore, Piazon long term as well. Drogba/Lukaku?/Sturridge could also play through the middle.

so the only other signing we'd need is a top quality wide attacker.

Brilliant player, will always be one of my favourites.

DFB are giving him the chance to make 99 apps with a friendly against Brazil, he may be giving the chance to make it to 100. Nice touch.

Don't want modric at our club, especially if he costs more than 25m. The guy is a good midfielder but he is being overrated by everyone.

My top 3 signings would be Aguero, Pastore and an out and out winger.
