I'm not saying they won't but people aren't being consistent with their views.

I was agreeing with you cstp. Many players have terrible attitudes like that, especially at a young age and when theyve been the big fish in small ponds.
I'd prefer Turan tbh. Excellent attitude, still young at 24, fast, skillfull, scores, assists, excellent work rate.
Not sure how much others have seen of him, but he's easily been one of if not the best Turkish player in the past 3 seasons.
His wiki stats haven't been updated for a while (his total appearances etc) but at last update it was 211 appearances - 76 assists - 48 goals.
I think that's a phenominal record. He got about 19 assists i think in 09/10 along with 11 or so goals.
Not sure what his record was for the season gone
Think he had about 9 assists and 6 goals after 21 games.
Gazza - Every player wants gaurantees. That's what happens every time a contract is drawn up. Torres for example would have been giving gauranteed status as a first team player.
As when your signing other players who are regulars from a smallr club coming to a one like Chelsea, it's usually a clause in there contract that they are giving the status as say "back up" but as such would still want a certain amount of playing time before signing, unless injured etc.
KDL - Turan to Neymar or Taarabt. Well if it came down to a choice between the 3 lol.
If he's available at about 15-18M, i think that would be a bargain, in my opinion.
Obviously i would love to have Neymar at the club, but with all the trouble it's going to now, i just don't think it's worth it.

steve. I'm sortve in the same boat as you. I'd think if Taraabt was to come in he would be as cover mainly to begin with. preferably to a Pastore etc.
Neymar is going to either be the best player in the world or a robinho style disappointment. It's whether we see it as worth the risk. so long as we don;t wait a few years and then want him. it's a now or never thing I think.
I've not watched enough of Turan to really give my usual opinion but I'll trust your judgement.
gazza. I;m not against Modric. I;d love him at the club for all the reasons I said on my earlier post. I;m just against paying 35-45m for him when there are players that could do a very similar job out there for alot less.
also gazza. I agree with your point that I don;t think it is possible to guarantee anybody a certain amount of matches. if they are poor then they are poor. If Torres comes back and starts as poorly as he finished last season I'd expect him bombed out the team.
Gazza - Yeah i know, and agree. You should be picked on merit of how well your playing, and how well your doing in training etc.
But as it is that's what happens. With Torres i don't think it'll be like "he MUST be picked" but he'll have the status as "regular" etc.
It's like the difference between reserve and first team. Your signing a proffesional contract with the club, but in that contract the status would be down as reserve etc. Similar difference i suppose.

gazza - Banega is the perfect answer to that question. he does everything Modric does. Sahin would have been the best alternative but he is gone now. Hernanes (although naturally more attacking) at Lazio, Moutinho at Porto.

Youtube dosen't really do much when trying to see how good a player is, but you get an idea from that what Turan can do. Plays pretty well behind the strikers as well and in central mid.
Unfortunately saint I don't think we've ever had a chance at Hazard
steve, turan this season. 17 apps, 5 goals, 2 assists. i'm guessing he was/os injured?

KDL - Yeah i think he had a groin injury, was laid off for a while but back playing for Turkey.
Still, he was doing well before hand lol. Think he has 3 goals for Turkey in qualifying as well.
Oh and Artura Vidal and Javi Martinez I forgot to mention. Also another who will probably get slated. a player called beram kayal at Celtic. big step up for him but a great player. more likely to go to a mid table team tho. but at 3-5m ish would be worth a punt
gazza that is crazy to say really. You see Modric every week. the players mentioned are as good as Modric. I;m a massive fan of modric but are you honestly saying you don;t think anybody else in the world is as good as him in his role?
3 years ago I was singing Modric's praises about a move to Chelsea and everybody said he wasnt good enough, he goes to spurs, 3 years later he is literally no better than he was and is suddenly the best in the world?
Like I said, I'm a massive fan of Modric but he is never woth 35m+
Obers was just playing ps3 a minute ago
Anyway, Imma trust Steve on Turan. I think he's left-footed though. Preferably I'd buy someone for the right, although if it means no Malouda I can't say I'll be upset
