can see wendies and the blades drawing on saturday..
goes to the last game..then who knows??

if stevenage make it, cant see anyone wanting to play them over two legs.. the town team beat them at home and drew away after being 2 goals up, but we looked like we had been beaten up at the end of both games and there isnt a team in this league that can touch them for fitness, very important in two quick games and on a wembley occasion that saps the legs..

unfortunately you have alam smith playing for you so nobody(other tham mk fans) will want you to win.. it is personal...

wonder if he still cries like a baby when it just does not go right for him???

nothing against mk..but smith playing for you means ill be rooting for the other team if you beat us..

he is, was and always will be a loathesome individual(both on and off the pitch)...

Poor old Smithy.... I can see you lot having a go at him and he will get sent off.... We have had a man sent off against all of the top 5 teams and twice against Sheff Utd.. We never do things the simple way and we never have any luck.. Agree with you about Stevenage!! they stuffed us 4-1 away (again we had 10 men)...We cant handle big, arial, hoofball, physical teams and Wednesday fit this too. They must score 80% of their goals from headers...

i suspect alan lee will be recalled for the play off games..allied, hopefully with mccombe back in the team..

expect hoofball in both legs from us..

we havent played football for a while now.. we have tried playing hoofball with the wrong players, playing and its not worked..

back to plan a for the playoffs, whack it in the direction of alan lee, see what happens.. its worked before, hopefully it will work again.. no suprises though for your manager to have to try and negate, unless we bring hegginbottom back from barnsley and actually let him play, that might be a suprise to everyone!!!

I have to admit I liked MK until they got Alan Smith, cant stand him at all. MK do play good football though so in many ways have more chance higher up than Stevenage.

I reckon it will be very close on both play off semis and then who knows for the final. If we are there and Rhodes is given decent service he could get a few if not we would have to scrape it.

if we have a fully fit squad of players to choose from then I think it will be a really close call with Hudders - if we are allowed to play football I fancy our chances - if its all muscle approach, then we wont beat them.

Which is why I think the biggest threat are going to be Stevenage (assuming they make the playoffs) - and could be the outside bet to go up - so hope they dont make it to the playoffs

Hope Wendies get the auto spot and I feel Blunts are going to struggle

I think Sheff Wed will get the 2nd auto spot now..looking at Danny Wilsons' stressed out face on TV I think they will buckle under the pressure. The big crunch game for them is on saturday against Stevenage..and I can only see an away win there...which will more than likely pair them both up again for the play-offs...it's a nightmare scenario for the Blades, but laughable from our comfortable position of low expectation...

Bramall lane is sold out in high expectations of a promotion celebration...but we all know what Stevenage are capable of.

Either way, neither Town or MKD would look forward to playing them at Wembley...

Stevenage were one of the dirtiest teams to play at our place this season so maybe it will catch up with them and they will be the ones getting players sent off!!!

they've changed manager since then though.
They are a very fit and hard working side though, which will come as a major shock to our lazy lot.

I Enjoy Alan Smith .. Always have done ~ Playoffs aside ~ Always will do .. Had Grayson been here a bit earlier he's just the sort of player he'd have brought in and we could've done with ..

Ball Holder .. Knows where his Next Pass is going .. Flicks here n there .. Makes it look so easy .. Even on his first game for M K against us ~ It was Clearly Evident he'd lost very little .. ..

His Professional Fouling and Working of the ref is just Priceless to watch.. He is to Playing What Gus Is to Managing.. Luv The Guy

Saw Stevenage Manager on Late Football show last night, seems a nice guy - complementary about MK Dons. I still think Notts County will get the last spot though.

The number of times Alan Smith has been booked this season , I can't agree his working of the Ref is priceless.

It will be interesting to see how Smith gets on - he seems to be getting stronger, more match fit, and more adjusted to playing in our league - if we get to the final he could be the difference in our favour

BillP ~ Getting booked is the Price you SOMETIMES have to pay for doing the dirty work (but someone has to do it) & the way he does is Gr8 to watch .. Always Winds up the opposition Players n Supporters alike ~ Part of the process .. I'm sure any Manager Strong enough to be able to Weave & Work Alan Smith into their side is worth his salt

As I say I'm looking forward to Web Camming Smiffy in Particular & will I be Screaming You Lying Cheating Bstd .. You bet I will But so what .. We need more of these characters at this level ..

yes boots,,
the world needs cheating bast-rds to be fully supported by berks like you..

if you think people like alam smith are characters then you have a problem.. youve only seen him on telly though so you probably thought barrymore was a "character"...

Onto the real stuff I like Alan Smith, I thought he done very well at Huddersfield earlier in the season, he didn't lose the ball once! Could and probably should have been sent off for a high foul but was taken off straight away!
He's been great for us, took him a while to settle down but in the last 5 or 6 games he's been faultless. I'd certainly have him back if we could!

I think United will cling on to second, myself! Just can't see them slipping up to Exeter and Wednesday taking advantage of Stevenage when they equally need points!

38years, it is gratifying to know that during the playoffs no Hudderfield player will dive; appeal for a throw in; goal kick or corner when they know they played the bal last. Will not commit any fouls and generally play within the rules of the game. I predict that a Hudderfield player will cheat within 10 minutes of each of the playoff games.

Stop talking about Alan Lee behind his back .. .. Trouble is he doesn't disguise his Elbow Technique so deftly as Smiffys able ..

That true billp, but to be fair he is a cheating barstared

i predict that the town team as a whole wont be as obnoxious, annoying and generally as big a c-nt as smith is on his own..

if you had read some of my posts on alan lee, you would know what i think of his "falling over"...refs know him, it does not help us and it works against us more than not..

kay also costs us, as does gary roberts with their constant chelping, stupid fouls and general pettiness...

one strong ref and they are all pretty much f-cked....

lets see suarez and drogba in the cup final...with a strong english ref..

Kay and Roberts are terrible at giving fouls away but in Roberts case I think its due to him being too slow and not necessarily being dirty. He can go down too easily under a challenge too so maybe he is dirty but as he is a Town player I am biased. Kay lunges in far too often and Morrison shows how past it Kay in at CB. Alan Lee is a tricky one as he gets fouled a lot in a game and gets nothing but then does tend to lash out and gets booked or worse. There was one elbow he got sent off for where their player just ran in to him from behind. To the player's credit he said at the time and after the game that it wasnt a foul but the ref decided not to use common sense.

I thought Smith was fantastic when he played against us for MK, the trouble was he was thinking several steps ahead of other players and some of his passes (which a PL player would have thrived on) came to nothing by the time they knew what was happening. The trouble was he should have been sent off and Robinson knew it and wisely subbed him quickly.

McMaccer...It's Utd who play Stevenage on saturday, which I think Utd will lose, and I reckon Wendies will win at Brentford, who realistically have no chance of a play-off spot.

Am suprised Sheff Wed have allowed the FA to let Utd play their crucial game at 5:20pm on Sky though, because knowing how Wendies have gone on will have a definate impact as to how Utd play this game..like if Wendies win, Utd will have to go for the win, but if Wendies lose, then Utd need to just avoid defeat...If I'd been at Wednesday I'd be having both games kick off at 5:20pm..

I actually like play offs and hope to get to Wembley at least.

Its a shame the best two footballing sides play each other and may the best footballing side win. Are Huddersfield going to wear "I don't believe it" t shirts when they play us?
