as a celtic fan i would say you have a very strong spine to your team with mcgregor/boogy/davis/jelly and some reliable players in whitts/papac/naismith and some good young players. i think up front you need a hooper type poacher (goodwilllie) and conversely we need a jelly type thinker. we both need another good center half. last season tol us we are pretty much even. celtic done better in the head to heads, but unsurprisingly rangers were more consistant. it looks to me that mccoist with the re signings will not attempt to change the style of the team very much, and why should he? both teams need a few new key players, celtic a goalie, cb and striker to really compliment hooper. while rangers imo need a cb, cm and as i said a poacher. i think it will go to the wire again this season and i hope for our nations sake all our clubs can have a decent run in europe. i wont say good luck, because your success means our failure, but i hope all decent fans realise that for the good of our game we need as many teams as possible to be as strong as possible.

I think we need to bring in 2 Centre backs, i think we will get one on a permanent and 1 on loan. Also if Boogie leave we will need to replace him.

A Left back is needed.

And if a Midfielder with bite on loan to cover McCulloch.

is Papac now surplus to requirements?

No but if Papac is injured we then have a right back playing left back or the guy Ortiz and Ally has already bid for a Left back so looks like we are in the market for LB cover.

I'm sure he was better a few seasons ago, i think he is better at right back too. I see him as being a squad player this year and even Ness and Hutton should be ahead of him.

Once the Goodwillie court situation is clear, I think we will make a move for him but we'll have to pay the 2m which is fair. It just seems to have gone all quiet on the Cardiff/Blackpool front

When I was watching the boxing on Sat one of my dads mates ( Man U) fan said that the girl who accused Goodwillie has accused another guy before.

This could be bulls**t but there is a very good chance that Goodwillie will be found innocent (correctly if my dads mate is right). I reckon that he will eventually end up a Rangers player but I think that will be the end of Rangers spending.

For the record I think Celtic will off load a few fringe players. Buy a GK ( eventually!) and Bellamy on a loan deal or the Norwegian lad and that will be us as well.

No big spending sprees from either side.

Thursday is when it will be decided if the case proceeds. As to Whyte's valuation....he may regret saying that and swallow his words. I suppose it all depends on what are the alternatives.
