Let them have their moment fellas.....and don't torture yourselves. City have it in their grasp.

I won't even be watching the City game before heading to United on Sunday. I'm that confident they will win. They will be buzzing now.

We'll be back though. It's only one season. There is always another to follow ten weeks later.

Equal pressure on both clubs I'd say.

Seriously if you think City have no pressure then you are deluded.

ALL the pressure is now on City, you are "expected" to win now it is out if our hands.

We have zero pressure on us now, like you did playing catchup.

Boris please answer how Utd are under pressure ???

We cannot win the title as things stand, City are in driving seat and can only lose it now. Therefore pressure on City.

UTD can go into game against Swansea, and just win it and hope for best.

City being the leaders have to win to stay in front.

Pressure on City if you choose to admit or not

Both United and City have the same pressure still. Both know that each of their last two games is Win or Bust.

I don't see how UTD are under pressure ?? We cannot win unless City slip up.

We can just win out games and hope for best. It's a lot easier to play catch up

Think Carrick is quality in his way, but we do need a good pacey DM for games like the derby, I mean wasnt that why we bought hargreaves when we already had carrick. Dont think SAF got it that wrong wi the players available, Nani starting instead of Valencia is a minor quibble. Wish Cleverly and Anderson where fit to play

City will be going into the Newcastle game knowing that anying less than a win will not be good enough - That's pressure.

Exactly Boris !

Whereas Utd can only win and hope for best

If United had got to half time at 0-0 then brought on our more attacking players in the second half, & then gone on to win everybody would have been raving over Fergies tactics.

But we did'nt.

I'm getting a lot of mixed messages here. Personally I think both clubs are under pressure but City get to face their demons first.

For me, United are still favourites.
You say City will slip up at Newcastle but then again say we are favourites. I can't reconcile both to be honest.

City are in front therefore favourites but it's possible they can slip up

It's a shame Newcastle are playing tonight, it gives City the advantage of having a couple of days rest and preparation.

To say both clubs have the same pressure is absurd. There is little to no pressure now on United, City are in the driving seats, in the headlines. All we have to do is get on with it.

We can always hope but like people have said earlier, it's logical to try and admit it's over. We should be pleased at how well we've done with the team we have.

I also agree with the OP, fans are extremely fickle and especially in the pub you hear ridiculous comments from fans which have no idea. I watched the Bilbao away match in the pub and one 'United' fan said that Cleverley was the best player on the pitch... says it all really.

Secondly, I have decided I dislike the majority of our own fans.
............

I stayed away from ja until the next day. Not to avoid the WUMs, but to avoid our own ridiculously fickle fans.

Some of those statements in the OP are ridiculous. I've even heard fans say Fergie should retire. Absolute joke.

Saying that, when we were beaten in the manner that we were (only a goal, but the performance was dreadful), questions were going to be asked - and rightly so.

questions have to be asked but you're right in same cases but I'm older and this is what I think: United have a tradition of playing the United way, win or lose it's 442 and attack the opposition. Doesn't matter if we lose, the main thing is that we had a go and Sir Alex forgot the basics of what Manchester United is! We may have lost but he should have played 442 and had a go at City......but we didn't and ffs United didn't have one single shot on goal, that for me in a title decider is unforgiveable! The fans paid money and hoped United would have a go and they couldn't because of the team selected. Hate to say it, Sir Matt wouldn't have been impressed whatsoever......having said that, United will still win the title as City will drop points in Sunday!

I think it's rich to lecture SAF on what it is to be Manchester United. What the man does makes us the team we are. The modern day United team is SAF.

And i'd argue that the United way is to win, at all costs. If that means winning the league by parking the proverbial bus then so be it. If it means winning by playing on the counter, then so be it. If it means all out attack, then so be it. United's way is to win.

Uniteds way is to play football in the right way, and United was around a long time before Sir Alex mate. Your talking to some one who watched the end years of best, charlton and Law and watched the attacking brillant Docs Army. I work all week to watch United play football and that;s something Sir Matt said "these people work all week to watch you, so give them something to watch". It's the basics of the manchester United way, and as an older paying long standing season ticket holder I can ask questions and lecture Ferie is I want to!

Supporting United isn't about winning at all costs and just winning trophies, something some of our so called younger fans have clearly forgot!

and I forgot to say......Sir Matt built Manchester United not Sir Alex and he would be the frst to correct you on that one.....Sir Alex awoke a sleeping gaint!

I did say the 'Modern United', I'm not going to argue with you on the Busby points, I wasn't around back then so it would just be churlish.

I think your point about the 'United Way' being something that the fans want to watch is based on the idea that teams must play offensive football to excite. I've always advocated Counter Attacking football as the most exciting style. So I think that's where we diverge in opinions.
