Maybe Diouf is immune to fan chants/hate?
Maybe he loves hostility. Thrives on it. If that's
the case, he'd perform well at ER or any
other venue for that matter. Maybe that's what
NW is referring to, players who get taller when
the noise gets louder and the occasion bigger?
Maybe I'm grasping at straws?
I'm coming round to the idea, it would make us even more hated, 'spit the dog' has talent and fits the bill for me, can't stand him, but that's no the point is it.
Top player At this level if a good boy.
What Saunders said
six goals, got 12 assists and I think probably six of those were on Billy's head in the six-yard box. Obviously Billy's got a knack of finding space in the box. He's a class player, not easy to manage off the pitch, but I only had him for five months and the clauses in his contract are for the Championship, so I think he'll probably be going to another club, whether it's Leeds or somewhere else.
LIW, it doesn't matter what you or I, or anyone thinks.
If NW rates Diouf and he thinks he can do a job and
fits what NW sees as a 'Leeds United Player' it more
than likely will happen.
I cant except a player who spat at leeds fans.
LIW,
I can't accept Bates. But, we're stuck.
Here's another example though, you don't rate Brown.
Correct? I thought he played better at end of season.
Here's what NW said about him yesterday:
The Leeds manager said: “Michael Brown is the sort of person I like around the club. In my eyes, he has been the best player since I came to the club. He has something to offer and with the others I wnat to bring in, he might surprise us and play more than you think.
“It is quite a reduced wage but at this stage of his career I don’t think Michael should step down a level. I have offered him a contract on a par with what he would get elsewhere.
“Someone like Michael is always good to have around if you use him in the right way. I trust him totally and with the legs I am wanting to bring in, it will help to have a bit of experience in there.”
NW sees him as, in his mind, 'a Leeds Player' - I/we have to trust him to put a team together.

i agree and i think it's all down to mind sets rather than up and coming talent ect, he knows snodgrass won't be replaced and wants him for the crative factor, becchio for winning the ball and ross for scoring, i know it sounds simple, but i really think he will fill the squad with muscle and determination, i'm happy with that if it means challenging next season.

What it does tell me is that brown must of been well overpaid if they have offered him massively reduced wages after warnock saying he was best player
when did he spit at a leeds fan?
forever, agree.
LIW, I have no argument there. You're right. He must've
been overpaid by the previous brain trust. But, at a lower
wage, under NW (who knows Brown and his strengths),
as an influencer in the dressing room, I have no
problem with Brown being here. Mainly because NW
wants him here.
Jason Pearce is signing tomorrow aparently, does he fit the bill? I know very little of him.
Pearce will be a good signing, expect to see another CB come in too.
Agree with Jonty. He won 7 of 9 end of season awards.
NW described him as having "Hunger & ability". I wish
a few more of our recent cast-offs had those.
Yes, rumoured around 500k, but thats just rumour.
Diouf is perfect for Leeds! No need to say any more.
Pearce comes with the same credentials as Lonergan, better than his colleagues in a team that got relegated. I'm not convinced. Clearly better than most of what we had at ER this season but is that enough?
Lonergan was considered better than Schmeichel but our defence was markedly worse this season than last and Lonnie Donnegan was poor after his return from injury.
Stevie, Portsmouth is a little different. They were
deducted points that dropped them. Then a lot of
their players went. I think Pearce is a couple of notches
better than Lonnie and the shower he played for
previously.
Did anyone see Mancini the other night put SFA
in is place? Classic. Just asking, in case anyone
was watching that game, on this thread, who gave
a s h * t about Manchester.
i can't stand either manchester club, but i cheered when that goal went in.
Can not make my mind up on diouf, very good at this level but....heard on Facebook that Norwich have tried to high jack our move for Pearce but have missed the boat.pearce has won 2 player of the season awards with 2 different clubs in the last 2 yrs.we have a gem and for a bargain.any leeds fan who is not ecstatic with this signing knows nowt.more of his calibre and we are going back home to the prem.
You have to take your hat off to Fergie, I think he got that match tactically right, he was obviously trying to limit the bigger Manchester club to just one goal and he managed to hold them to just that.
Me also forever. But I loved seeing SFA bow up
and fake go after Mancini. Watch Fergie's eyes,
he was almost urging his coaches to get in between.
Mancini would've put him down with one swish
of that cutely tied scarf of his.
When did he spit at leeds fans????
Snoddey,Diouf on wings
Becchio Ross somma Phillips up top
Derry and new in middle of park
