Mikel looked like his old self against Newcastle the other night, and Essien was on the bench, I think if Mikel was going to start the final, Essien would of started on Wednesday.

BK7 - Essien is a shadow of what he was and doesn't have the energy to get around the pitch any more. One below par performance aginst Newcastle doesn't suddenly mean Mikel should be dropped. I'll be very surprised of Mikel doesn't play tomorrow.

The worry I have is that one of Liverpool's much maligned summer signings like Carroll or Downing will have a stormer tomorrow. I just have a feeling about it. Plus, Gerrard usually plays well in the big one off games.

Carroll and Downing won't have a stormer as Kenny will play Downing on the left, with Suarez upfront on his own, when he eventually brings Carroll on, he'll move Downing to the right.

Let's hope this changes for the final!
