My only grievance is that you will be allowed back into the SPL without punishment.
Meaning all the smaller clubs have been scraping for years, when they could have done the same? Couldn't they?

........................................................................................
could they cope with a 75% reduction in tv revenue , 10 point penalty and a transfer embargo for 12 months?
no chance
Henrik,
Although my article is obviously geared up with a bit of Wumming intended, I do understand what you are saying.
I really do think the club should be punished, but this should be in an appropriate manner.
We are being punished for becoming insolvent. The punishment for this should be appropriate. In England, clubs are deducted points for one season (fair enough if the SPL want to double this, to two years, but further than this is pushing it). Remember, the rules getting put in place here are to be used against any other clubs that become insolvent. These are not just 'big bad rangers' rules.
you know my thinking on it mitre mate. don't want another arguement with you
If you are found guilty of cheating will you proudly take that history with you

Okay...Airdrie liquidated and were refused re-entry.
Same for the Gers??
TCD - you do realise that the rules are different between the FA & the SFA?
You know, the rules that govern the game.
The rules that apply in this country?
THOSE rules?
And to show how out of touch this new Phil Mcwhathisname is - the SPL board will not rule, it will be ALL 11 clubs.
Will be interesting to see how Mr Sporting Integrity Lawell votes.......
And again, TCD not knowing the difference between a a complete liquidation (Airdrie) and what Bill miller has proposed.
Keep trying though.
You are entertaining if absolutely nothing else.
TCD - you do realise that the rules are different between the FA & the SFA?

Of course I do...but does Neil Doncaster??
davie you're almost always spot on in what you say imo but come on mate, integrity is the last thing on the table in all of this newco business
daviecooper1,
Rangers will liquidate...
You know it, as do I
Pol - I agree, the ONLY thing on the table is how much cash the other 11 SPL teams can get through there door without forcing Rangers to look elsewhere if the penalties are too severe.
This, IMO puts Miller in the driving seat.
I would assume that he has held initial talks with the SFL - I would have thought that Div 3 teams would trip over themselves for a year of Rangers funded income.
TCD - liquidation as you describe is a complete firesale of all assets individually, like when an office based company goes bust and all the furniture is sold off a chair at a time etc.
That is not going to happen.
If the OldCo is unsuccessful in getting a CVA agreed (and in the circumstances there is no reason they would be anything other than successful), then that company - that registered entity would be wound up.
The Club, the assets, THE HISTORY, etc would all be safe & sound in the NewCo.
I know this winds you up, but frankly my concern is only that Rangers exist next season.
You get as mad as you like. Your fellow Celtic fans are talking of boycotts etc.
Again, will be VERY interesting to see how Lawell votes.
Will he vote on behalf of the Celtic fans, or of the Celtic board and major shareholder?
Then why are Uefa not going to allow you into their competitions for 3 seasons?
Basically saying that you are a new club?
Didn't happen to Leeds or Portsmouth.
So why is that?
When Rangers oldco finally gets wound up...so does your history.
If newco is to be debt free, then it'll be history free
Lawwell will vote in the best interests of Celtic Football Club...
To admit a new club into the Spl with sanctions
UEFA have said nothing of the sort.
They may say officially, they may not.
But as of today, despite what so called journos on Radio total and utter crap on 102.5 were stumbling about today (honestly, where do they get these clowns?), no ruling has been made.
There has been no change to Rangers' set up as of today.
Until the exact analysis of Rangers' new set up, if there is one, is completed, no ruling CAN be made.
But don't let that stop you - bullsh it away!

Uefa were quoted last week as saying that a newco Rangers will NOT be given licence to play in their competitions and that Bill Miller knows this

Rangers aren't eligible for Europe next season, but what about future seasons under Miller's plan?
"Even if he gained a CVA for oldco Rangers then merged it with his newco, Uefa will consider this a change in the club's legal structure. To be eligible, clubs must have three unbroken years of membership of their domestic association, so Miller's Rangers would not be able to play in Europe until the beginning of the 2015/2016 season."

They aren't saying we are a new club they are saying we have a break in our registration.
