to be honest carroll has been good for the last 5 games or so he has played, its not just based on today

but still he should not go

If Andy Carroll and/or Downing go to the Euros I am supporting Poland. These are two of the most average players I've ever seen and shouldn't be anywhere near the squad.

Playing for Liverpool always gives average players the chance of an England career - Carragher for example.

hopefully hodgson still hates the pool for the way they treated him and wont pick any pool players

ynwa? well hodgson did. joke of a club, joke supporters.

It didn't cross the line. It is strange that it should be mentioned as ghost goal mark 2 when there is no doubt that today the decision was correct.

If Downing went to the Euros I wouldn't know whether to laugh, cry, or kill someone.

Even Walcott is better than Downing.

I would take Walcott but Downing I wouldn't take if he was the last living organism on Earth with 2 legs.

Course Holland will say that. He's Irish.

What do you reckon Lennon's chances are, Spurtle?

Young is probably the only England winger that will be going for sure. The rest - Downing, Walcott, Lennon, Johnson and any I may have missed - are all up for debate.

Walcott should and will go. His faults are clear and many. But he scores and assists a decent number of goals. He's also a great outlet of pace. England need to bring him imo and would be stupid not to.

Andycarrot,

just got that. Brilliant! Your subtle jokes are wasted here!

I agree that Walcott should go, but it is not a certainty he will is all I'm saying.

I don't think he should start though. He has never really done anything for England since that hattrick, but would be a good option from the bench.

It's hard to know what team we'll play as it's dependant upon our formation, which I don't whether it will be one or two up top.

Carroll has been playing well last few games as well. The idea of taking an in form players is a bad one?

Torres will be going to the Euros with Spain most likely despite his poor pefromances for the last two years. Although granted he has done it for his country before.

He's playing better than he was, but even if he's playing well, he's still a painfully average footballer.

Darren - Not the best. In my opinion he should go based on his performances but he's made too few to be in the reckoning and he seems to have been shunned to one side ever since the World Cup I think unfairly. Walcott, Sturridge, Johnson, Young and Milner all stand more chance.

I was hoping someone would notice it.

so many bites to something that wasn't even a wum at all

You may be right. I agree that he should go though. I think some of his performances this season have gone under the radar. There have been games where I think he's been your most dangerous and productive player, but then Bale gets all of the headlines instead.

One thing he does better than all the players you've listed is ghosting past players. That's something I feel we've missed in the England team since Joe Cole (he usuallly played well for England).

It was a WUM.
