England's midfield can't pass the ball about to create openings so they have to get it up front or out wide quickly. It makes sense to take a Carroll type player for a target.

Not a proper Wum. More of a joke if anything that both fans could share in.

Grant Holt would be a better Carroll type player than Carroll.

I am a neutral, and I shared the joy.

And Admiral Ackbar shared it with me.

Darren - Yes I know what you mean. He's quite an exciting player when he's on the ball. If he sharpened up on certain things he'd be a hell of a player cause he's got the talent there to begin with. I have to say, I feel more confident about Spurs winning when I see his name in the starting lineup.

Take Lennon, but use his pace for once.

A front 3 of Young, Welbeck and Lennon/Walcott could be pretty dangerous. Problem is who to play in the midfield?

Carroll has been playing well last few games as well. The idea of taking an in form players is a bad one?

he has poped up with a few goals but apart from today, his overall play hasn't been great and he has been poor for pretty much the entire season, you can't take a player to a major championships when a) he's played well 4-5 times during a whole season and b) there are better options than Carroll who should go.

And c) He's got the ball control of a horse.

I will be devastated if Carroll goes to euros !!!

What has he done to deserve it ??? Compare to grant Holt who has been brilliant, better all round player and just imagine to pride and effort he would put in.

Unlike Carroll who is lazy and just can't be bothered most of the time.

Carroll has been on form for around 3 months now. Unfortunately Kenny keeps dropping him when he gets into any sort of rhythm. But as you and I know OP - your bias clouds your judgement.

Also the replay clearly showed the ball was over the line, what was unclear was whether Cech had just about stopped the whole ball going over. ITV cleared that up with a computerised replay which showed the ball OVER the line.

Regardless, Kenny's terrible tactics and team selection wweren't enough to win the game.

Carrick Barry Gerrard
Sturridge Welbeck Walcott/Lennon

Would be my midfield/attack for the first two games.

I would agree that Carroll has been getting better recently which is difficult when he is not starting every game but I dont think its enough to take him to the Euros....

Cleverley Carrick Scholes
Welbeck Rooney Young

When Rooney cant play swap for Owen.

No bias at all.

He's played better but not well apart from 4-5 games, and not even full games either, i'm assuming the bias you talk about is because i'm a United supporter i don't want a Liverpool player in the squad? Says more about your mentality than mine mate, my bias is towards players who deserve to be in the squad and have played well this season and who can improve the current England team, all of that considered rules out Andy Carroll. Also, if i'm bias why do i want Steven Gerrard, Mr Liverpool, in the starting line up wearing the captains armband?

Danny Graham deserves a spot more than Carroll.

Exactly, you got it in one, your bias means you are unable yo give credit to a young player who has been ridiculed for over a year now, firstly because he became a 'dirty' Liverpool player, secondly due to his pricetag which had nothing to do with him.

Despite all this, he has come through and become a better all round player. Whilst he and many of the players around him have been continued to play in tactics which don't suit them, he has tried to adapt and grow as a player. After watching him this season I can safely say he has did that.

In the past few months his overall play has improved and he has scored a few goals. Played in a system which suits him, he is a huge task for any defence to handle and England need that in their armoury if they are going to go far. With Rooney suspended for the first two games, England need options in attack and Carroll is a great option to have.

Of course all that will go over your biased head.

Its you who is biased. You say carroll deserves to go as he plays for pool. If you talk about firm, holt deserves to go over him.

Form* not firm

Oh dear, you're so far off the mark with this one mate, you talk about club bias when, for me, it has nothing to do with who i want to play for england, i want the best players to play for my country, hence my inclusion of Gerrard who is the modern day symbol Liverpool FC but you appear to have ignored that one. If you think Andy Carroll has been one of the besr 4-5 english strikers of this season then god help you.

So you want Gerrard, who is in the worst form of his career to go but not Carroll who is in good form. England should be happy you're not picking the players. Take Grant Holt over Carroll to the Euro's
