As a neutral I don't think you can compare them.

VDV and Podolski are different players. One is pure flair and the other fox and the box with a bit of trickery.

VDV wouldn't get into Arsenal's team simply because they don't play a formation that could accomodate him

Podolski wouldn't get into the Spurs team because Bale is better and for the same reason.

For me Spurs are all style and no substance. Credit where it's due this is an average Arsenal side by their recent standards but more often than not they've stood up to be counted when the chips are down.

I think this thread proves that this is the best rivalry in the league if not england because there isnt anywhere near the amount of violence that other rivalries get. Just simple funny banter and the occasional argument between the two teams and the games are the by far the most entertaining games in the league. Guaranteed
