Oh I just read your posting history. Your last article was one sentence about United's 'ex-midfield general Djemba Dejmba's birthday' and the ones previous weren't much better. Exactly the sort of pointless stuff I'm not interested in seeing at all
Sorry aimed that at 'When the ball hit the net' and not you 'My Nani' but posted it just as you did one above
Yeah it is annoying mate.
No worries, I figured as you posted it a matter of seconds after me
Don't see the point in filtering. Delete enough times, and the message should get through.
Bela - I wouldn't like to delete comments on my articles. They make it look untidy. I would, however, delete them if they were completely out of line. The filter option isn't really for me, unless someone pushes me too far. Nobody has yet.
WSLP - thanks for contributing to my article
Fair point.
Let them stand and show the poster for the fool that they are?
Possibly. But there's always the risk that someone will respond to them and the article will delve into a subject which was not intended.
No worries MyNani.
I think 'Bela' that sometimes it's about removing a lot of the spam/wum articles etc from the list of articles you can see, so you can only focus on those from decent posters. You obviously can't delete those from view.
Also if people are consistently forcing you to delete their comments from your articles then wouldnt it be easier to just filter them to save you the hassle and to prevent comments you dont see in time taking the debate off at a negative tangent.
You also can't delete posters from other peoples articles, so again if you just want to filter out all the rubbish and only see comments from decent posters then again it's easier to filter.
I know some people are happy not to filter and I'm OK with that, but for me it's about personalising your own member experience, so one person can choose not to filter and another can choose to filter, and the site goes on regardless offering the preferable experience to both of those members.
