I find it funny that people think whitmarsh does things to hinder as he probably only keeps his job if the team are doing well.
hafijur, so question is, is he doing well? Take all of TallUselessAndCluess's list add it up to all the strategic blunders on Hamilton's side and tell me is this the man for this job?
I doubt he is responsible for the strategy himself as mclaren are a big team.
all the strategic blunders on Hamilton's side
---------------------------------------------------
They're actually about the same.
It's not the team's fault that Hamilton spent most of 2011 unable to go 5 laps without hitting another driver.
There is no conspiracy or favouritism.
There is a considerable falling of standards caused by weak management of the team by Whitmarsh.
In 2012 every single race has been ruined by incompetence of the team.
How come Ferrari (a bunch of spaghetti throwers) out perform McLaren in pit stops?
Ron Dennis was removed by Whitmarsh because Ron was renowned for his attention to detail. Whitmarsh ruined the first race of this season because he could not calculate the fuel loads.
I've been watching replays of the 04 and 05 seasons recently, i forgot just how unlucky Kimi was.
The relibility was dreadful and finger trouble was the cause of a few retirements.
Basically the team makes mistakes, everyone does, but there is no way Mclaren have ever disadvantaged one of there drivers on purpose.
Lewis and Jenson should consider themselves lucky, if they had Kimi's reliability record from his McLaren days they'd be going crazy.
In 2005 Kimi retired from 5 races whilst in the lead... all not his fault.
Ron's McLaren made as many mistakes as Martin's
The point to consider is Mclaren are essentially flying the flag for britain and have a huge media circus around them, there mistakes are massively highlighted over other teams, the same as ferrari in italy and spain.
no conspiracies
Both drivers have been let down by their team. The Mclaren team needs a kick up the backside.
They've finally designed a championship winning car and they are scrwing things up for their drivers
I reckon hamilton could get 10th and Button could get 3rd.
