I can't help but feel this is a stolen idea from my game but less fun....and controversial.

Holt and Defoe. Sturridge is so awful.

There really isn't much choice. I think I'd take Rooney, Welbs, Bent, Sturridge and Walcott.

Sturridge and Wallcott can play on the right or up top (I actually think Walcott would be better used as a striker) and Rooney of course plays best in the hole.

Roy may well take Zamora though, he knows and trusts him plus you pretty muich know what you are goona get. He holds the ball better than any of the above.

TOOR I have never seen any of your games. And this was never meant to be fun, just long and laborious.

I agree mate, but on his day he is unstoppable because he an attribute you cannot teach, his pace will suit our counter attack and if we have Rooney in the hole his pace could be well utilized either up top or on the wing in the final 10/20 minutes.

Who would you suggest?

One of the reasons Capello received stick (despite being the England manager with the highest wins per games ratio in history) last world cup was for leaving out Walcott who could have altered the outcome of the poor games more than any subs used did

TBOK the length of them is the price you pay if you want to make it as fair and concise a poll as possible.

i would suggest that theo walcott be nowhere near a football pitch where his lack of technique can embarass a team on international t tv.

if i was in charge of the team i would take no senior players apart from rooney and gerrard.. and just give the young/new boys a go instead of the failed golden generation.

hart

richards lescott cahill baines

oxlade-saviourmessi cleverly gerrard young

rooney

someone else

Holt should go IMO, I know he's not getting any younger but Sturridge has been awful for the second half of the season, and never plays up front, and I love the idea of someone who played for someone like Shrewsbury Town in League Two 3 years ago going to the Euros.

If Sturridge were at a non-top 4 club he wouldn 't even be an option. I like him, but I don't see what he brings to the party yet.

As for the Walcott bashing, it's getting boring the guy is our most productive winger, who happens to get scrutinised so much more than any other player, a must in my book.

I agree about dumping the old boys who never performed but there's a limit

Leaving out Walcott in the squad is ludicrous

My team although I'm not English would be:

Hart
Walker Terry Lescott Cole
Parker Scholes
Walcott Gerrard Young
Rooney

subs: Foster Richards Cahill Bains Lampard Cleverly Chamberlain Sturridge

posted on 15/5/12

I would also bring along Grant Holt for the record as well as Bent/Defoe/Welbeck

Don't see Terry going, I;m afriad he has dug his own grave with the national team with everything that has gone on in the last 3/4 years.
