"surprise surprise, the 'supporters' of the two clubs who have profited from financial doping are sticking together."

I wondered how long a snidy comment like that would take

If your saying Mancini is held responsible for letting an injury hit side keep up with them then surely the same must be said for Fergie in 06-07 and especially 07-08, no?

8bit,

that was our fault.

you sense wrong then. every red knew that city would win the league four years ago. everyone in football knew it. it had got to a stage where we were simply nothing more than indifferent towards it. if by some miracle they had blown it this year they'd only have won it next season. we're just thankful that they'll never equal our record.

in 06-07 united finished six points ahead of chelsea, despite losing our final game and wrapped up the league two games before the end of the season.

Fine well what about 07-08 then?

Your squad as a whole was at their peak. Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez in the form of their lives. Vidic, Evra and Ferdinand peaked that season aswell.

Yet despite that a club who

lost their best ever manager during the season.

lost Arjen Robben (who at the time was not that far of Ronaldo if atall) to Real.

lost Terry, Carvalho, Cech and Drogba to injuries numerous times that season, i think all 4 played together less than 10-15 times.

constantly had to play Micheal Essien, our midfield engine, in defence.

had to make do with Saloman fecking Kalou as our main forward for big parts of the season.

despite all that we kept up with a United squad at their peak and took them to the last day of the season.

So if Mancini is getting stick this term then Fergie should get similar for 07-08.

I remember Rafa saying something along those lines, I just hope we don't equal your bitterness.

it only went to the last day in 07-08 because we played chelsea away inbetween the barcelona semi final and ferguson rested half our team. even then we'd got a draw till alan wiley incorrectly awarded chelsea a last minute penalty.

Was more of a pen than Saha's oscar winning dive in the reverse fixture.

in stoppage time in a game which we were already leading 1-0? must try harder donald.

So Mancini's a fool, you don't beat Fergie at mind games, he does, but now any mug can do what he did. Ok. Sure why not.

Also we had a CL final inbetween that clash at SB too but we still played a full team (bar Lampard who just lost his mum).

What Martinez, Rodgers, Lambert, Moyes and Pardew have done this season is so much more of an achievement than Mancini spending hundreds of millions and winning it on GD.

Well said GG. Added to the fact he managed to lose one of his best players for 6 months.. and got knocked out of the CL and Europa early. Average at best considering their unlimited resources.

I'm sure he's thinking the same as he ploughs Mrs Mancini tonight with his Premier League winners medal around his neck.

City fans know they haven't got a chance of winning a trophy without the Sheikh money. You've only got to go on their board to where you'll see them all trying to convince each other that ffp rule won't work.

the only club in english football history to have won the league without one player in their team coming from the area they play in. just how sh.t is football now?
