Yes but if a player signs a long contract and then 6 months later gets tapped up, then you have every right to put your foot down, like Levy did

He will be a United player next season IMO.
Agree with Batmanu, can't see him anywhere else. He will be off to Spurs parent club in the Summer
Chronic i think He is talent vise!
If thats the case and you think its ok for players to just walk away from their contracts, then lets do away with contracts and see if the players like that, no pay when injured etc
Bubbles this is only time i am going to respond to your comment and never again!
Only way Modric leaves Tottenham is:
a) Chealse win CL and Luka Goes to Barca or Juve!

Or if a big club comes in for him with an offer you can't refuse which suits both parties
Do people think Livermore will evolve into a playmaker MF ??
Carroll and Pritchard perhaps, but him ??
Bubbles I am not Tottenham Hotspur supporter, but where i was born and where I live right now Tottenham Hotspur was and is known as a big club!
In past last four years I just came to like and appreciate the club. More i followed Modric , Niko and Charlie more i learned about the club and eventually i became some kind of a romantic fan and I am proud of it. I had fun watching Spurs last 4 seasons and would do it all over again.
Dont tell me Tottenham is not a big club but Chealse is a big club. trust me i was born before 2004! Long before and i Hope so long after lol

fair enough, but people change their mind in every day life all the time.
People drop out of uni, people want to go traveling and quit their jobs, people sell their house and want to move abroad.
==========================
I dont understand this argument, or why people compare footballers with normal working people.
As far as i'm aware, none of us on here would have signed a 5 year contract with our employer. Or with a Uni. Which is why we could/would walk away whenever we like.
If players want this freedom, then they will have to accept rubbish wages (in their terms), with shorter contracts.
If a player wants a 4 week notice period, then they should accept a play-as-you-play contract, which they wont, and dont.
As for saying he's replacable, even if we got £40m for him, what player worth this much money would even look at us twice, with clubs like United, City, Barca, Madrid & all the other elite clubs around europe?
We have an absolute class player & some fans are talking about him like he's a kit lady that we can replace with an Ad in the local paper.

In domestic terms Spurs are a big club, not not outside England.
You are kidding yourself if you think Spurs are in the same league as United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea or City never mind AC Milan, Inter, Juve, Real, Bayern etc. They wouldn't even of heard of Spurs

Tottenham were in europe long before Chelsea and have won more European trophys than you
Every time i go on holiday i meet tottenham fans and we have been crap for 20 yrs, all you see from your lot is aload of plastic glory hunters walking around in Chelsea shirts, ask anyone of them about the history of your club and they would not have a clue
weare ... 100% correct there... everywhere you go you meet proper spurs fans..
go on holiday to america and yes you will see chelsea shirts but none of them have a clue whats going on... sort of how i have a san antonio spurs holdall, but i have no idea about san antonio spurs.
I was in Namibia a few years ago and some local asked me at a garage about Tottenham Hotspur! Now that surprised me, but he remembered the great Klinsmann at Spurs etc.
Chronic ..
Like i said before, i saw 2 chelsea fans, a dad and son walking around a garden centre looking at plants while Chelsea were playing man utd in the Fa cup final .. dont think they even knew the game was on
Its easy to have plastic fan base but to say Tottenham dont have a world wide fan base is laughable and typical Bubbles
all waffle , no facts
They probably do. But not on the same scale as Arsenal, Chelsea, United or Liverpool
