We were already on free fall. Owners are trying to put things right.
I share the concerns mate BUT there could be a masterplan behind the mess.
A top class DoF who can attract the players with a young up and coming manager with ideas is not a bad combination.
Coupled with the documented success with the Red Sox, maybe they have a plan?
Time will tell.
They took over a club weeks from administration, appointed people the ans wanted and have now moved those people on when they failed.
I think they have a very clear plan in all honesty, the structure and off field part of the club is very strong and has been improved by these owners.
I think people are massively over reacting to KK getting the sack because of who he is.
Clubs have sacked managers before its nothing knew, I also see people panicking because we don't have a DOF, we never had one before, why is this suddenly so important?
I think the DoF in our case is very important cos the Americans are not as clued up about soccer as us Europeans are.
I think its just reassurance they have two footballing minds on the job, nothing more than that?

We don't have any structure...
But there has to be some sort of plan in place though.
Well, one would hope. But we're 19 months in and a DoF later. No Chief Exec appointed in that time, in spite of clearly needing one. The only day-to-day contact with the club is their money man Ginsberg (who amazingly avoided the sack, well, yeah).
We also don't have a CEO & the managing director looks to be getting the sack next as well.
Agree with cobnob.
Come on, we've got owners who have shown mediocrity is not acceptable. There are a lot of managers available (eg Capello, Val Gaal, Rafa, AVB). Let's just see what happens but if anything I'd say we have owners that mean business.
we have owners that mean business.
------------
There is no doubting that.
But I just don't think they know what they are doing.
Liverpool is not going to be destroyed because we don't have a CEO or DOF for a coupe of weeks!
Just because people aren't in the post now doesn't mean the company has lost all structre, it happens all the time in business.
Do you really think the whole thing is run by 2 people?
There is already rumours of managers and DOF's being spoken too and I am sure we will have all other posts filled swiftly, today we have a new director of communications.
This shows they want to do things their way now after the failings of the season gone by.
Ayre is going nowhere.
We don't need a CEO.
The owners let the fans have their own way and it didn't quite work out. They are now doing it their own way....
I think we get to know far too much. As a fan I'm interested in the manager and the players and that's it.
It's a bit like telling the public which MP's have over claimed expenses. I don't care. As long as someone is keeping tabs on it and making sure it's all above board, I really don't need to know who did what, where and when. Being accountable doesn't mean we need to know the minutiae.

Never said that.
& It's not the lack of filling the posts what is worrying me.
It's the fact that what they decide to do will determine our clubs future and I don't trust them.
Although it's entirely possible that they have a plan in place and everything will be fine but there has been more evidence to the contrary.
On a side note, don't know if its been said but apparently Kenny refused any compensation. Says everything about the man.....
I actually think you have good owners who are the right kind to get you where you need to be.
No-one can out spend Man City, so you need to play it right. I honestly think the owners have done the right things so far.
what is this evidence to the conrtary?
To answer your 1st question ..
err.... no.
FSG are perfectly correct in their decision.
However, dragging a bloke across the Atlantic to tell him he's sacked is not the best way to do things!
Martinez for LFC is a step in the right direction.
Nah....they are pretty savvy, what have they done wrong?
Top 4 was the target, wasnt reached boss got the boot.
Suarez affair cast a bad image on Liverpools brand, heads rolled.
New manager needed, they interview all the usual suspects and more.
I dont see the problem meself, yeah i wanted KD to stay but maybe i am wrong and the owners are right.
FSG want to implement a long term project. this is why they didn't want dalglish in the first place and also why they are looking at al these young inexperienced managers
"However, dragging a bloke across the Atlantic to tell him he's sacked is not the best way to do things!"
Do you think they should have Skyped him.......
