You cannot be a Liverpool fan. Liverpool fans don't speak as much sense as this.

When I always see grandiose articles that are openly critical of fellow fans, I have no idea whether it is a undercover WUM trying to get a rise. Often need go through article history to try and work it out.

Articles with titles such as "LFC Posters - Please don't be stupid" could possibly be a tad more understated.

I actually hope you're a wum.

"We're not as big as we used to be... we need to accept that.. We need to be patient."

Yes we are, just not as succesfull

"So please stop saying the likes of Brendan Rodgers and Martinez are not 'worthy' of our great club... because the fact is .. they are!"

Based on what? Neither of them have ever managed a club like Liverpool before; Europe experience, intense media scrutiny, hugely under-pressure players, egos, fierce rivalry, history, impatient fans etc. I don't think it's unreasonable to question their suitability

"Let's be honest... all other posters on the other boards hate us.

We're noisy, and moany, bitchy even."

No they don't and no we aren't. Not all of us anyway. That is a big generalisation that can be applied to other teams. It can probably be applied to lots of different groups of people.

"A few years ago, people called Rafa the 'fat waiter' - Now they want him back... be realistic. FSG don't want Rafa."

Are these the same people? I doubt it. There are quite a lot of LFC fans you know, with lots of different opinions. Also, how do you know FSG don't want Rafa? Sounds more like opinion than a fact, which is how you presented it.

"Please stop portraying to all the cultured people out there.. how 'fickle' football fans are.
Act your age.. and consider what you write before you write it. You sound idiotic and foolish when you claim we can get the likes of Mourinho."

Sorry, who are you talking to here?

"For the sake of this site - Please be more thoughtful and be grateful that you support Liverpool and not.."

Grateful? What? Would love to respond but I am confused.

If I was a Liverpool fan I'd probably have to agree with this article. I'm sure Fred, TOOR, RAP and co were all writing similar articles

We are just as big as we used to be. Just not as successful and in fairness the point of this board is to debate and and voice our opinions regarding our respective clubs.

There is nothing wrong with wanting the best for the club.

Personally I dont think we have a chance of getting mourinho or Pep, but nor do I think Martinez or rodgers are good enough to Manage a club of the stature of Liverpool. Let them prove they can take the next step by either improving their clubs significantly over a period of time(look at moyes) or take the helm at a larger club and be relatively successful there.

Taking martinez for example, avoid relegation for three years, while it is an achievement for wigan, is not something I would be over the moon about, where was their form at the earlier stages of the season.

The end goal for liverpool is to win the PL(after a few years), the goal for next year is to qualify for the CL. Personally I dont think Martinez can bring that.

Yea, except other people often interperet that as we thinking we have a divine right to win. What does that even mean? It is such a ridiculous statement. Wanting to do well means we think we have godlike powers? wtf?

Yes, I will interject now.

We are still a big club, but are we still such an attractive club to managers?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting the best for the club.. but perhaps you do not know what's best for the club?

What if Martinez is the next Mourinho?

And another question... everyone here is complaining about Martinez.. but what if he gets the job? It can't be nice starting a job with the knowledge that the fans do not want you.

It's the reason Rodgers rejected the job I think.

Just had about a dozen troll accounts created this week, writing fire and forget wum articles.

I like this article and agree with large portions of it. I can't think of any other board that squabbles as much with each other as we do.

It gets right on my nurples.

That's cool I have no idea what the sentiments are so can never be sure what is and isn't a wum article. Just seen the first comment and wasn't sure.

Of course I don't, neither does anyone on this board. But the point of the board is to debate our views, whatever they may be.
