Get this drivel off our board

I'd rather him than Downing at the Euros tbh.

He seems to be attempting to be well groomed. It has worked in the past, but now he should just pick a conservative style and stick to it.

What debate was this article supposed to encourage?

Yeah, whats your point?

Beckham is nailed-on to be selected for the Olympics. Seb Coe is talking crap saying there is no pressure on Pearce to pick him...

Point is, David Beckham should not be delusional enough to want to represent GB/England ever again. He's been about image for many years, now he look like a clown. Do you think he should play for team GB?

It's on the Manc board as he's not playedm for any other British team (other than PPreston, but are there any of their fans in existence?)

I agree with the OP though. Becks has become a national joke

do you just shave it off every couple of weeks though, or do you actually use scissors?

Jealous of Beckham, his multi-mllion marketd industry, he's 'cool Britannia' vibe and stupid look? Aside from the money, hell no!

Beckham is trying so hard to be relevent, I think he fails to realise he's a joke, a Kenny Dalglish in the modern world where 'legends' come and go.

Yes, I did cut my own hair - I like the 90 degree fringe

Beckham should go to the Olympics. He could still do a job in the premier league despite what people think and surrounded by young players at the Olympics is the perfect place for him to bring his experience. On top of that he played a huge part in getting the Olympics, trying to get the World Cup and various other projects. If sentiment is to have a place in football then Becks deserves his place at the Olympics.

What has Beckham done to deserve a place at the olympics carrickature? I'm intrigued

I am only one month older than you, yet I looked in the mirror 6 months ago and decided to cut off my once precious long hair, of which I had for 22 years.

Were you bald for the first 15 years of your life?

I will never understand why Beckham inspires such hate from people, it is the press that are obsessed with him he simply uses it to his advantage. Outside of that all I can think off is a red card for England and playing for Manchester United.

I am sure all of us wanted our own spice girl at one time or another..

Beckham had a huge part in securing the Olympics, he would have done the same for the World Cup if Fifa didn't hold a grudge. In a footballing sense, which matters the most, he is still playing and performing for LA Galaxy. People can knock that league but countless players have shown it's a standard that can transform the major european leagues - Keane is going to the Euro's, Donovan has been great for Everton, both play in the same team as Becks and watching the games they don't overshadow him, far from it.

Those who say he shouldn't play are clearly in the resentful gang because he ticks all the boxes and from a romantic view it would be great to have Becks involved in this once in a lifetime national celebration.

Funny you should mention this as I called my wife into the room when he was just on TV re the Olympic flame being lit. I wanted to show her his ridiculous hair cut and pointy moustache. Is he doing it for anti-capitalist reasons as he looked a lot like that mask from V

PS Of course he shouldnt play in the team. It's actually ridiculous this is even being considered.

I point you to my bit about Donovan and Keane and Becks recent form. He could easily do a job in the Olympic team.

Do you think he should play for team GB?

.......................

I quite personnaly couldn't give a crap who plays for team GB.

Oh, and just to add, OP, the well groomed Beckham would still show more passion playing for England than the new England captain has ever done.

Now there is a horrible greasy little oik that needs to work on his grooming, if ever there was one.
