Solskjaer if he does a good job at Villa (if he takes the Villa job...)

I think loyalty and fan favouritism will go out the window, as Sir Alex will effectively choose his replacement. Just imagine, you build an empire and it's time for you to step down, do you give it to one of your former employees because he worked well with you and you are friends, or someone who's already proven that he's able to create, handle and efficiently handle a 'smaller' empire than your own.
Personally I can't see past David Moyes, but I wouldn't shed a tear over Jose Mourinho. Only he truly could laugh at the pressure of being Sir Alexs' replacement.
I don't think you will be needing a new manager for at least another 10 years.

Hopefully.
Another 3 or 4 titles and 1 more CL would be nice
I'd think Mourinho would be different at United than he has been at other clubs.
Damo we'd all love a immortal SAF but there's no such thing, I have a feeling this will be his last season
I think he'll be here until the end of the 2013/14 season.
i dont think moyes would be a good option. just because hes been at everton for 10 years..
fergie didnt take over a title winning club, he turned it into one on his own.
i havent seen everton challenge for many trophies over the years so im not sure he could handle a beast like united
i think i will wait until he is actually managed a football team before i make my judgement
TRS I feel this season has made him age considerably and that spat he had with Mancini isn't good for his heart, we know pressure has never got to him but this year his age is finally showing and it hurts to see him like that.
Valencia i honestly think City winning the PL this season will re invigorate him that and wanting to equal or even beat Liverpools 5 CL trophies will see him manage till at least the end of the decade.
I think the aim over the next 2 seasons might be to of course relinquish the title from City but to also really go for the European Cup to put us level with Ajax and Bayern. I think if he managed to win the Champions League next season, he'd finally call it a day.
I wouldn't be surprised if they've put a picture up of the R.I.P Fergie in the changing room. No motivational speech will ever be needed. If I saw that every time I was about to play that someone could disrespect my Manager, it'd be nothing short of giving 100% every time.
I agree, if a weak Chelsea team can win it then surely SAF has one more try at winning it too?
Fergie doesn't do a lot of coaching anymore.
As long as his health remains and his hunger remains which we all know it will......He could easily carry on for 2-3 more years, maybe even more. He is a freak of nature.
I suspect if we have a really successful season next year though he'll go out on a high. He's already defeated Blackburn, Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. He may see this new City team as his final challenge. I certainly wouldn't rule us out of doing it either.
He also looks likely to hand over a pretty youthful and talented squad over to his successor too. Nick Powell could be the latest of those players if he joins from Crewe.
I'd love to see one of Solskjaer, Neville or Giggs as our future manager. Not for many years yet though, and especially not as SAF's successor. Moyes or Mourinho for me, the latter being my favourite for the job.
I reckon SAF has two more seasons in him, but he'll want to leave when we're at the top, so he may leave earlier or later depending on how results go. One newspaper reported that he had a slight health scare in Glasgow last night - I hope there's no truth in that!
