i've seen rumours that we will resign him, so wouldn't be surprised.

I will go out on a limb and say Song. I've noticed more negative opinion towards him as the season just gone progressed and just get the feeling that he'll be made a scapegoat next season if things don't go well for you guys. Of course, the real scapegoat should be shiekh Mansour.

The all time leading scapegoat Denilson will be back so my money is on him

how could i forget about song! of course he's a popular candidate.

pat rice - i would've said denilson but don't think he will play for us next season.

Do you rate him?

Please elaborate. Interested to hear (read actually) your take on it.

Gervinho is a really poor footballer, I don't know how he conned his way into the professional ranks

The striker.
If RvP stays, he probably won't have a season like this, thus people will jump on him.
If RvP goes whoever takes his place will be slated for not being RvP.

Diaby will also get a lot of stick.

i do rate him. i think he is a very dangerous player to have on our team (for the opposition before you crack any jokes). he has good feet, equally unpredictable on both his right foot and left which makes him effective on either wing. he is pretty quick and has good acceleration and he also works hard to track back and defend - take note how our left back isn't exposed quite so much when gervinho plays compared to when arshavin was playing in front of clichy.

unfortunately his first touch and shooting is poor at the moment and needs to improve massively. i think this is partly down to lack of talent but also confidence which was shattered after the ACON. hopefully he can rebuild in the summer. he's looked good towards the end of this season.

Gervinho at the beginning of the season was promising. After the ACON with one exception he was shiiit. I don't know if he eventually come good.

They deserve it to be fair, what do they use? hammers and chisels?

Fair point.

But I wouldn't describe Gervinho as a 'dangerous' player.
He's a squad player at best imo. And I'm disappointed Wenger went for him, instead of Mata.

I like Diaby and still have hope for Gervinho

posted on 20/5/12

he will most likely be a squad player with walcott, podolski and chamberlain all fighting for a place on the wing (providing podolski isn't playing centrally). he will be a good squad player too.

The OP said next season, our medical team deserves to get the stick (rightly so) for the last 7 years!

Gervinho, he seems to run and get by players in a way Theo can't so in that respect his good. The thing is, he can assist in a basic way but what we really lack are other players that can contribute goals, goals, goals. I have seen no evidence yet that he will ever have that ability.

I think if you combined Theo and Gervinho as 1 player you might actually have a good product.

We'll see.

But he is a shocking footballer in my eyes. Always will be.

Mata would've been perfect for us.

The commentators last night were slating him for not getting on the ball, but with Chelsea's tactics, what he did manage was very impressive.

You do have to wonder what goes on there. I mean Wilshere has been out for the whole year and only now do they give him surgery on a knee problem he's had for a while. Reminds me of when King had knee surgery came back played one game and was out with a groin problem he had for 'months'.
