He doesnt want to sign a contract
--------------------
OH COME THE FUNK ON!
Where is this coming from? Every other article on here has at least one line taking a shot at RVP and his contract talks. None of us (AND I MEAN NONE) has any idea what happened during the negotiations or what Van Persie's plans are.
Please oh please oh please stop with all this bullsh|t guesswork.
Well, the fact that it was made public that they were having a meeting to discuss his contract last week, and nothing has been announced, i doubt that if he had signed Arsenal would be keeping all us fans in the dark about it
"On RVP, i think as hard as it will be for us to see him leave, he's had his time. He doesnt want to sign a contract, so let him leave."
---------------
It's worked hasn't it?
If a player is older than 26 we all think he's too old for Arsenal.
If he's 17 years old from S.America he's going to be the next world beater.
As long as we're in the top four, it doesn't matter if we're actually challenging for titles.
Financial prudence > fan excitement.
And now, the minute a player wants assurances of the club's ambition, better to just let him go because it's easier than facing the truth.
Arsene and Ivan have trained us well.
Walkies. Heal. Sit. There's GOOD Gooners...
Van Persie's clearly keeping his options open.
Nobody will bid for him just before the Euros.
I'm sure he will want to go if Madrid or Barcelona (or maybe Juve) come calling, but otherwise he will be an Arsenal player next year.
M'Vila is definitely a talent and well sort after, but it's far from a done deal. Worth noting that he did not finish the season particuarly well at Rennes, not that this means he's not a good player.
On RVP, I'm sorry, but I'm resigned to the fact he's off. Don't get me wrong I want him to stay, but come on, his interview post WBA!!! Total pro, but that interview took the shine off a great last day of the season.
I hope he stays, but I'd put my nuts on him not being at the Emirates next campaign. I just hope the club rinse whoever is buying and then stengthen the team with players like Podolski, it's getting harder to shop in the bargain bucket and find real quality these days...
TBH Dzeko & Johnson + Abit of Cash is quite a good deal for a player who has only really played 1 Full season with us.
TBH Dzeko & Johnson + Abit of Cash

I'd take £10m and those two
Well, the fact that it was made public that they were having a meeting to discuss his contract last week, and nothing has been announced, i doubt that if he had signed Arsenal would be keeping all us fans in the dark about it
-----------------------------
Which only means that he hasn't signed. He always said he wanted to wait til the summer but they didn't have long to discuss the matter before RVP's country came calling. Wenger said he'd like to have this sorted before the Euros but they didn't have time. So what we have is an unconcluded contract negotiation. It doesn't mean anything and everything that has been printed about the aftermath is either a guess or bullsh|t.
And what bothers me is Arsenal fans are eating it up. Almost choking on it as they shovel yet more and more handfuls of the media's deceitful crap into their insatiable faces.
I hoped the media blackout would stop the wild speculation but sadly, it hasn't. The press are still printing their stories on the matter with nothing more than a gut feeling as their source.
I have no reason whatsoever to believe that RVP will leave this summer. Absolutely, positively, categorically, unambiguously, unconditionally, unquestionably, definitely, surely, truly no reason.
No ifs, ands or buts.
Wenger said he'd like to have this sorted before the Euros but they didn't have time. So what we have is an unconcluded contract negotiation.
----------
But how long does a contract negotiation take?
Arsenal - Ok Robin we will ofer you 150K per week. Will you sign?
Robin - Simple Yes or No will do
Melo- Have you been living under a rock for the last 5 years or are you just as delusional as Arsene Wenger?
Not Dzeko. I'd rather take the full cash and find a suitable replacement for him
Adam Johnson is a load of crap.
But how long does a contract negotiation take?
-------------------------------------------------------------
- as a rule, a month or so. with euros in the middle, that'll be a while longer.
As for the rest - if you think the only term and condition to be decided on is the basic wage, i can only assume you have never negotiated a contract of any sort.
Anything anyone sees in any media source is at this stage nothing but pure, unadulterated speculation.
Melo- Have you been living under a rock for the last 5 years or are you just as delusional as Arsene Wenger?
--------------------------
Hey! That rock cost a lot of money.
I'm not delusional. In fact, just the opposite. It's pretty clear to me that all the information we have on RVP's contract situation is all made up. If you want to put stock in rumours and hearsay, go ahead.
I'd rather not waste my time.
I hope by "load of crap" you mean "twice the winger Theo Walcott is".

------
Bit harsh, id rather have Johnson that Gervinho who does nothing. Least Johnson has abit of end product and can score goals.
"twice the winger Theo Walcott is"
--------------------------
Not quite. By a load of crap I mean Theo Walcott is wanted by Barca and Adam Johnson can't get into a Man City team we have out classed home and away.
Adam Johnson is a one trick pony who would exposed for his frailties if he was played more often.
Jenius -
I doubt many of our players could get into the City Starting XI.
Only RVP if im honest and Maybe Sagna.
I doubt many of our players could get into the City Starting XI.

Koscielny and Vermaelen are better than Lescott, Toure or Savic.

--------------------------------------------
I say quite the opposite. I honestly believe that we would have won the league if we had not sold Cesc.
In fact if Arsene had made the change from Ramsey to Rosicky earlier we would have still gone very close to winning the league. Look at our form when Ramsey did not play. We were a match for anyone. And even with Aaron in the team we should have beaten them in Manchester. We completely out played them at home.
Unfortunately there is tendency of the media of being over critical at some of our 'non-white' English players. I remember the stick Ashley Cole used to get from the media while at Arsenal. When Ashley played for us he was not a good enough defender. Wayne Bridge was always better! Until of course Mourinho, the media darling declared Ashley the best full back in the world. Its exactly the same with Theo Walcott. Adam Johnson is quite average. But many of those who declared that Theo had 'no football brain' can't eat their words, even though he has scored and created more than anyone other than Bale.
To me, the media treatment of Walcott to Adam Johnson is very comparable to Ashley Cole to Wayne Bridge.
Im sorry Rosicky is Rubbish. 1 PL goal in 2 years is pathetic for an attacking MF.
Vermealen has proven that he forget to defend.
U might be right on Kossy be Lescott has been amazing for City this season.
Toure/Savic are Citys backup CB.

I'm sorry but this is rubbish. Rosicky has been outstanding since the Milan game.
