Overrated

I've seen more defence splitting passes this game from Oscar than Modric all season.

I know van Persie is better than Welbeck but it doesn't make any sense building Welbeck and Hernandez up if we are just gonna buy a world-class striker in van Persie anyway.

Not sure that Nani will be sold. I'm confident his contract issues will be resolved soon.

Also seems a little stupid not to start Kagawa after buying him. I hope we sign van Persie instead of Moura if we sign either of them, would still rather a deeper playmaker to sit alongside Carrick but that won't happen.

Why not? Why would they be more willing to sell to City rather than us? Doesn't really make any sense.

Also, Modric isn't overrated, he's a very good player and is the perfect fit for the United team alongside Carrick.

People cite his low assist rate as evidence he's overrated, the fact of the matter is though is that he creates opportunities for others to assist goals with his incisive passing. Xavi's assist rate is quite low but no one is doubting his midfield passing ability.

Lucas Moura on, be interesting to see how he does.

They're better off just keeping him for another year and letting it run down, or selling him to RM/Juventus. I'd be amazed if he went to another English side.

I think the statement van Persie made pretty much signalled he has no intentions of staying for another year. Madrid aren't interested as far as I'm aware and don't know why van Persie would go to Juventus if he could go to City or United.

Don't underestimate player power.

Yeah, I know what you're saying and understand, but for Arsenal to sell RVP to you or City would be to admit they're now a 2nd class side in England and probably won't be challenging for titles any time soon. Which we all know, but admitting this to their fans by selling RVP to their rivals would not go down well at all.

It' ridiculous that his contract was allowed to run down so much.

If he does leave in England I think he's more likely to got to City with the ex Arsenal players already there, and as an outsider looking in they look much more likely to be winning titles than united in the future.

We'll start the season like that. Then when Mata's back Danny will drop out and Marin will move to the right. We have no better winger than Marin.
