He is a class player but has fallen foul of some undesirable behavior. Too much diving. Not sure why the FA don't introduce new powers to punish obvious dives. The ref cannot be expected to get it right all the time although they do very well imo.
it depends how far they take it though, because if a player goes down when there is contact, then they could argue that if they stayed up when then they wont get anything
Bale's dive was terrible but Suarez's was easily worse. Both deserve retrospective punishment.
Agreed. It is a difficult one. If a player is running at pace the smallest of touches could unbalance them and make them fall when it looks like a dive.
Some dives are obvious though and the player is looking for the slightest touch before going down.
initially, i think they should only introduce it for dives where there is zero contact, and give them match bans, with times where there is contact but its obvious that it shouldnt be a penalty, start by giving them a warning, then a ban if it happens a second time over the course of a season

I don't agree with bans for diving.
You don't get a ban for a professional foul or deliberate hand ball. One is just as much cheating as the other for me.
