Oh if you want to base it on careers, then that makes it an easy argument to say Pirlo is better
Given Kroos is young I thought it was only fair to compare on recent times but for me Pirlo wins in all categories. Euros - better, one of the best in the competition. Last season - Pirlo still better, more important for his side, more assists in the league, with worse players in front of him.
Careers:
One of the greatest Italian midfielders of all time vs a promising young German who is close to breaking into his country's side.

So your basis for plumping for Kroos is he is younger?

Being younger is not a factor which makes you a better player
Pirlo has proved himself time and time again at the highest level as he is doing now while Kroos is barely playing. Both had good seasons no doubt. But Pirlo in my opinion was more important to his side, and ended it with a league medal.

No he wasn't just as intergral. Juventus rely on Pirlo to create, Bayern don't rely on Kroos in the same sense. Juve and Italy have built themselves around Pirlo.
Might as well have been miles away, a loss is a loss. I doubt Pirlo looks back at the times he came close, probably looks back at the times he was best player in a World Cup final win.....
Even today in an Italy side no one was giving any hope, he's been brilliant. Outshone Xavi and Iniesta against Spain etc.
By the way, 21, the assist argument doesn't apply with Xavi. He may not directly assist goals all the time but he is the one who puts other people into position to assist with killer passes.
Anyone around? Quiet today.
Hodgey, check transfer thread please.
Sorry what? Ozil>Iniesta
You are having a laugh aint ya
Ozil is top class but personally not a patch on Iniesta IMO
Nor Xavi, Kamran.
BVB, make a bid mate.
Ozil is a great player to be fair, each to their own.
But Kroos is never better than Pirlo!
I agree Ozil is a great player no doubt but Iniesta and Xavi have been producing it too with more medals aswell.
I love Ozil..and Hero also convinced me that Hummels is a top defender.
I'm a changed man

Andy Polo Are you a big follower of the Peruvian league?
Andy Polo?
I think it is good to have these debates as you both know where you stand on things.
I'm also against weaknesses and strengths as such as not necessarily the most talented team wins the game.
