Very bold move releasing some of those players mate, use your budget wisely in foreigns now...

I've over spent and sold out cheaply when I've been finding my feet.

Time to turn it back in my favour

I've just spotted he has an escape clause in his contract for anything in excess of 20 Euros and today's exchange rate puts that at 16.5M.

Thank you so much mate.

I'm going to go down to a 23 man squad for the time being. + have 3 other targets whom I can afford. Things might just be looking up! Nite bro!

Thought I could try and tempt you as Lahm is better than Walker by some distance for me.

I can';t spend 20M on my full backs with gaping holes in the centre!

Lahm is not the best fullback in the world.

I'd also agree Lahm is the best full back in the world. May not be the most prolific going forward but does his bit, the best defensively and can play both sides.

I'd argue that Alves and Cole are on par if not better and Ramos is not far behind.

I like Cole but I wouldn't agree Alves is on a par. He's the best out-and-out RB probably but he's not as good defensively as Lahm, he may as well be a winger. At anyone other than Barcelona he'd be found out fast. Still a quality RB though.

There is a slight misonception about his defensive abilities. He's never let them down in an EL Clasico/CL game. They soley rely on him for width which is why he so often gets forward (pass after pass and then sprayed out to the wing). Lahm for me is rarely tested.

Lahm has been tested on the international stage and has passed every time with flying colours.

Shame he's not passed when Bayern are conceding 5 to Dortmund or another 5 to Messi.
