He hasn't exactly give him a fair crack of the whip though? Plus Ireland had to cap McCarthy in a competitive game or risk losing him to Scotland.

Well he was in the last few squads plus would of been in squad only for his father. And to say he was only capped to stopping joining Scotland isn't true imo because if that's the case Wilson would of been capped with the North waiting and wanting to take him
