I hope I have in the last day made deals that will get the Spurs fans back on my side.

The sale of Huntelaar and Mertens did rock the boat somewhat + whilst the money offered for Huntelaar made it difficult to turn down, I am delighted to confirm that Mertens has returned to the club in a move that has also seen Cabaye and Ben Arfa join us at White Hart Lane.

In other deals Pavlyochenko and Arshavin have signed following impressive performances for Russia in Euro 12, whilst Andy Carroll's impressive recent performances for club and country have been rewarded with a contract.

Coloccini has also been signed to add steel to our defence.

So with 3 of Newcastle's best performers at the club, + Cabaye's & Ben Arfa's impressive performances for France, Arshavin and Pavlyochenko's likewises performances for Russia and Andy Carroll's return to form we feel that we are at long last making the steps to improve our club.

Mertens will also be starting line up, and the signing of exciting young dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel will hopefully all in all show that positive steps have been made in the last day.

Everton manager Rooney expressed his delight after narrowly beating Arsenal 1-2 away from home. They do have a quality side but in all honesty lack real strength in depth, in the end it came down to who dealt better with the injuries sustained and I'd say we came out on top. This win will give us real confidence going into our next game.

Commenting on the arrival of new signing Danny Welbeck he added we needed further reinforcements in attack and when Danny became available we knew he was the perfect fit. We may tinker with our line-up next week and play 3 up top, I’ll see how we go in training.

Hey! We're no longer predicted to finish last.
---
It is rumoured they are in the market for John Terry.
---
You could change that to any Ex or current Chelsea player and you'd be right.

Liverpool are delighted to welcome Bale to the club. We believe with him and a bit of a luck we can challenge for a top 4 spot. Other than City with Ronaldo and Messi, we believe in Ribery and Bale we now have the best set of wingers in the league.

We are sad to have weakened the bench but with Gerrard and Afellay we still have great backup for the midfield.

After conceding seven goals in two games and being routed to the very bottom of the table, it has been an eventful few days for Newcastle.
Previous manager LRF resigned after this torrid start to the season, so the job fell to unproven manager Juan Zola to turn the fortunes of this relegation threatened team around. The new man did not take long in changing the side with no less than twelve players being axed. The manager had this to say, “Look, that bunch of jokers conceded seven goals in two games! Have you ever heard something so ridiculous? We’ve got rid of all the dead weight and then some. The players to survive the cull are Cissé, Carrick, Tiote and Zabaleta; only because they didn’t feature in any of the previous games and so are not infected with this losing disease.”
With twelve players leaving Newcastle fans were understandably worried if they would even be able to field a team for their next game. In a matter of 48 hours the big names were queuing up to walk through the door. First came Stevan Jovetic, a truly sensation player who is attracting interest from all the top clubs across Europe; not least the best team in Europe, the European Champions themselves! Then came Mikel, the lynchpin of the best team in Europe’s midfield. Hamsik and Tevez added that much needed attacking flair to balance the defensive steel of Mikel. The rock who has been at the heart of the best team in Europe, David Luiz, replaced the underperforming clown Diego Godin for a fraction of his fee, a marvellous piece of business by the Newcastle management.
The greatest goal scoring midfielder in premier league history was next through the door when the arrival of Frank Lampard was announced for a mere £6m, what a steal! Newcastle fans thought the fun was over until Zola called an unexpected press conference to announce three new signings to the world, “Greetings peasants, you will bow before me when you see which three players I have ‘persuaded’ to join our cause today. I have here not one, not two, but three Lionel Messis!”
In a moment of shock out stepped the players, first it was “the German Messi” then “the English Messi” and finally, “the Belgian Messi”. Amazing, in front of us there stood Marko Marin, Joe Cole and Eden Hazard. Lionel Messi eat your heart out.

Liverpool have made a statement regarding the predicted table.

We would be happy with a 5th place finish considering the standard of sides in the league, and we are Liverpool. But other than City and Everton, we believe our side is strong enough to beat anyone else. With the Khedira and Schwein partnership in cm, Ribery and Bale for our wingers and Suarez and Rooney up to, we are match for anyone!

1) Who is your side's best player?
---------------------------------------------
I couldn't possibly say as I don't even know who is in my team any more. But probably Toulalan, one of the best defensive players in the world

2) If you could have any player from any side, excluding Messi, who?
-------------------------------------------------------
Falcao from Sunderland, fantastic centre forward.

3) Who will win the league?
Probably City - unless Messi & or Ronaldo pick up injuries.

4) Who will finish bottom?
Me!

5) Xavi or Iniesta?
Tight call obviously, but Iniesta for me

Falcao is an interesting choice. Cheers Welshy.

1) Who is your side's best player?

Difficult to pick one, I'd possibly say Ribery. But think the combination of Khedira/Schwein is most important for my side.

2) If you could have any player from any side, excluding Messi, who?

Has to be Ronaldo. Think he should win WPOTY this year.

3) Who will win the league?

Difficult to see anyone other than City winning the league at the moment.

4) Who will finish bottom?

All sides look to be improving so too close to call at the moment.

5) Xavi or Iniesta?
I'll say Iniesta, simply because he's more exciting to watch. Couldn't say who is more important for Spain/Barca.

1) Who is your side's best player?

Xavi, closely followed by Vidic.

2) If you could have any player from any side, excluding Messi, who?

For my side currently I'd have Kompany from City.

3) Who will win the league?

City are understandably the favourites but with the right tactics I think sides can beat them.

4) Who will finish bottom?

Tough call at the moment as Sunderland and Stoke are improving and you never know what Welshy is gonna do next.

5) Xavi or Iniesta?

Xavi easily for me. Iniesta is world-class but that just shows you how highly I rate Xavi.

Casillas?
2) If you could have any player from any side, excluding Messi, who?
Ronaldo.

3) Who will win the league?
City
4) Who will finish bottom?
Hopefully not Newcastle
5) Xavi or Iniesta?
Iniesta Xavi

1) Who is your side's best player?

Falcao. Just try stop this boy scoring. Outside shout for top scorer. Got 4 goals with poor-ish service. Now he has KPB, Eriksen and Pato helping provide.

2) If you could have any player from any side, excluding Messi, who?

For my side, Ronaldo is the best option. But on a realistic view, possible Hazard/Hulk.

3) Who will win the league?

City have this sown up right now. Unless Hodgey throws in some interesting injuries

4) Who will finish bottom?

Though I would be close, but hopefully recent improvements will claw me away.

5) Xavi or Iniesta?

Xavi's ball retention is ridiculous, but can be perceived as boring. Iniesta

1) Who is your side's best player?
That's difficult to answer, a tough choice between messi and ronny, the fact that messi is currently the top scorer in the league so he has an advantage

2) If you could have any player from any side, excluding Messi, who?
Well now Gerrard has seen the light and joined the Etihad family, it would have to be iniesta, he would be a perfect addition to my squad

3) Who will win the league?
It's too early to say, media and the bookies have us as favourites so we will be looking to justify that over the course of the season

4) Who will finish bottom?
Again, it's too early to say, there could be a hidden gem who could turn it around for any side, or an unlucky run of injuries who could set a team back for weeks

5) Xavi or Iniesta?
iniesta - for me, he has a littleextra attacking ability than xavi
