Id be carefully what you hope for Trent, your last owner pumped in over 80m and got you nowhere

I always find people who talk in the media like this, end up being chancers

The latest info from the people who claim to be 'in the know' is that he is looking to invest in Forest, not Leeds. This info comes from an apparent Kuwaiti based journalist who works for various media organisations over there including EuroSport Arabia. This is obviously not confirmed via a reliable source yet so I'd advise everyone to not get their hopes too high.

My feeling is that its Forest.

Reports seem to be saying that he wants to 'bring in' the manager who got QPR up, if he was going to do that then it cant be us as he wouldnt be bringing him in.

I think the American Bbd is probably going to be what we end up with (that or Bates goes nowhere)

Im pretty sure this is all rubbish and he won't be buying Forest. It's just Twitter rubbish.

He has said he will not announce until the end of June -
And has stepped down as Chairman of his own club.

Nothing is happening tomorrow- Show me some proof please?

Some Leeds fans on twitter seem pretty sure there's something in this. Seen nothing at all to suggest he's buying Forest.

I want to believe it is not true also afterall the man is a billionaire. i think we may just have to take this one on the chin and move on to the US bidders who are showing interest. As phil hay said in his tweet.. he will be flying into london & confirming it tommorrow. we just have to accept we lost out and move on. I was shocked on this one but thats life. At least we have someone interested so its not all doom and gloom. It wouldn't suprise me in the least if Ken had a say in the final outcome. who knows.. I still cannot see the man leaving leeds unless he becomes very ill. things will be alot clearer sooner or later.

I don’t believe in any of these rumors. I will only believe it when it is official in nice bright colors on our website

If it's anyone it's Forest. 100% guaranteed IMO.

Since when did Leeds ever get the breaks?

Forest have been up for sale since our owner died in January. It's quite widely known.

He has been mentioned today with having an interest of investing in forest or leeds but from what I have read 3 groups have come forward interested in leeds utd with a chicargo based group having been shown round thorp arch training complex last week and are thought to be the front runners.I would expect this Kuwait guy to invest in forest as they would be cheaper to buy than leeds utd.bates apparently don't own ground or thorp arch complex but could be asking for as much as £80mill for the club according to daily mail.

Forest are a sleeping giant like us, they have that big club swagger. So from a purist standpoint i would to see them do a Man City!

Due diligance would be a nightmare at Leeds. I think

Everything is fairly simple at Forest by comparison.

This story is trending on twitter - although I don't know what that means.

Can someone please have a look on betfair or somewhere to see where the money is going on this.

I think that this is total rubbish. It's all based on hearsay, and you would have thought that by now Skysports would have checked it out with the amount of tosh that's going around on twitter. I'll play along for now though, and suggest that the fella from Kuwait would be far more interested in Forest because, although Leeds have a slightly larger attendence, it is on a global level that these foreign billionaires are hoping to make their money, and Forest are a lot more popular than Leeds outside of Yorkshire. Also, everybody knows that Leeds are dirty and never won anything without cheating.

Davedarkly - you are out of your depth mate - Leeds are global, even if not on the same scale as others They even showed Leeds games in Australia from time to time because there was sufficient demand.

Forest are NOT global. If you want to see cheats - see red. Evidence of 'cheating'? No - just football played by proper, hard nosed men, who could TAKE a tackle as well as dish one out.

Just, take your delinquent spoutings back to your own board, and dream of your club actually being heard of by football fans outside of the UK.

Yes, it's true I lived in Oz for a year. Being at a time when you had Viduka and Kewell and were in the Premier League helped. Don't suppose your games are on so often anymore.

It's tough to know which set of fans is the more deluded!

Leeds are a very popular club in Yorkshire, I'll give you that, but they're honestly not very popular elsewhere. Seriously, ask around. Just because it's true doesn't mean it's necessarily a bad thing though, because I've noticed that you have a kind of siege mentality going on there, which can only work in your favour when everyone seems to be putting you down.

And I think you'll find that you're on our board.

Leeds games are shown worldwide and have a massive following in countries such as Ireland, Norway, and the Serbia area, it's absolutely crawling with Leeds fans. There's more Leeds fans than there is fans of their top club.

Tell that to the 500 Scandinavians who came to our game against West Ham.
Leeds aren't popular everywhere in the world but we do have pretty big followings in Scandinavia, North America and Ireland, where we rival some of the biggest premier league teams in terms of support and have a significant number of season ticket holders, as well as the obvious places full of British ex-pats.
