Dembele and Kagawa are different players.

Visa should be dealt with in Kagawa's case.

With Nani, yes he is our best winger. No he will not be leaving.

It's goal.com trying to make a story out of nothing.

They've obviously applied for a permit, and are just waiting for confirmation. That Japanese kid at Arsenal got one, Kagawa will have no problems getting one.

No way should Nani leave.

Demebele also plays as an AM so you never know, but I do think if he does come he will play as CM. considering his statistics from last season which I must say were rather impressive.

He meets all the criteria necessary to get the visa. It won't be a problem at all.

Nani should be sold and we should replace him with Lennon.

As long as Kagawa comes and permit issues are sorte I am happy SLM - I agree

Oh, the invention. Why dont posters just read the page and comment on posts that have already addressed this?

Now we have lost the Bebe and the Mame, its natural that we no longer need the Nani !

IMO Matthew Etherington would be better.

If Nani wants to go then let hi go, he cant be relied on, whilst being a very talented player and at times has been very very good, hes just far too inconsistant, you say the difference between Valencia and Nani is that Nani has more to his game and that Valencia is a one trick pony, ive never really understood why if hes got more to his game and has got a good right AND left foot, why cant he adapt his game to playing on the left? Valencia is far more effective whilst being able to chip in with the odd goal. Other point is that, if Nani does go, we woulld be looking at 25m-35m, thats plenty to get a replacement, and who knows, maybe this is the reason Fergie was in for Hazard. All in all, id be abit dissapointed if Nani left, but id be excited as to see who Fergie would bring in to replace him...

Philjones4: who would you consider for nani's replacement?

I think theres a few options out there, alot of people are talking about Rodriguez at Porto, good shout, but i think its abit of a risk, prob going to cost between 20 and 30m, i also like Muniain at Bilbao, although he mainly plays left for Bilbao, hes right footed so cant see why he couldnt play on both wings, i also like Hoilett at Blackburn, he would be a cheaper option, hes played well in a very poor side, football becomes alot easier when playing alongside better players....

Nani is a class above all three players mentioned.

posted on 2/6/12

At the minute probably yes, but all three are younger than Nani (i think), plenty of time to progress into an even better player than Nani, dont get me wrong i like Nani, but if hes flirtin with other clubs, for the money we would get for him, id take it...

I think some of you guys are missing the point.. James is a talented player but he would take at least 3 years of grooming like Nani did before showing any signs of being a real top player! So we would be worse off next season! Nani in my opinion is already a top player his stats at international level and club stats prove this.

Furthermore, if we sell Nani imho we will sign someone like Obertan and use the rest of the money to pay the debts! Man Utd are moving backwards and we already look like we will not compete for the title next season. Reports in portugal suggest Nani has already made contact with Juventus and a deal will be completed after the Euros!

There is no way on earth Kagawa would be denied a work permit if United requested one.

You dont have to meet the 75% target, if you are regarded as an 'exceptional talent' and having been voted the best player in the German league I'd suggest he'll be ok. It's not like he's never played for Japan anyway, he has about 10 goals in 30 apps even if hasn't played the full quota needed for it to be waived through.

posted on 2/6/12

the reason kagawa hasnt signed yet is that he's in japan with the national team and wouldn't be refused a work permit anyway as sweet little pea has said he's played 30 internationals in the last 3 years

Phil- If Nani is as inconsistent as you say he is how an earth would he be worth 25-35m? The only winger better than Nani in world football is Di Maria IMO.

Muniain is a much better player than Nani was at 19.

Muniain is not a winger per se and he certainly almost NEVER plays Right-wing people here clearly dont watch the La Liga.

Munian is going to be a top top player but he is an inside forward and hence not like for like replacement.

I think the likes of Juve or Milan would pay that sort of money for him, 2nd part of the season, what did Nani do, off the top of my head, he scored a nice goal v Everton, im not bashing him, just saying i wouldnt be too concerned if he left for a good chunk of dosh..
